Joseph Clarence Flowers

Joseph Clarence Flowers, 74 of 356 Ash St, died Wednesday, (April 28, 1982) at Conway Memorial Hospital. Mr. Flowers was a retired school teacher and a member of the Second Baptist Church. He was a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas and received a masters degree from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He taught school in Cabot, Mount Vernon, Huntsville, and Wheatley and was also a member of the Green Grove Masonic Lodge 107. Born, Feb. 8, 1908 at Mt. Vernon, he was son of Mr. and Mrs. Tavner Flowers.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Miriam Irby Flowers; two sons, Ralph Flowers of Conway and Robert Flowers of Little Rock; a brother, Herbert Flowers of Texas; a step brother, Garland Bradley of Conway; two half sisters, Mrs. Alvie Olson of Texas and Marie Eckerling of Chicago; a step sister, Verla Harmon of Conway; four grandchildren and a great grandchild.

Funeral Services will be at 1 PM Friday at McNutt Chapel with the Rev. Clyde Coleman officiating will be in Oak Grove Cemetery Pallbearers will be; Bob Tubbs, Mike Irby, Neal Wood, Dennis Starkley, Stephen Smith and Kenneth Carter.
