HoweVern HoweAccording to his Civil War Pension Deposition, Joshua HOWE married Mary E. TRANTHAM in "September 1890" (transcribed record on this site shows 24 AUG 1890). The same record shows that a Joshua HOWE married a "OMY McGLON" on 15 JUL 1876. My guess is that she's a relative of the McGLONE family. The pension record goes on to say that Joshua had "a little girl living in Michigan, born at Conway Ark June 28th 1888; its mother died at its birth" The implication is that the mother is probably buried in a Conway Cemetery. Any further information would be most appreciated.

LandersSydna Landers DailyDr. David R. Landers  I am looking for information on my great great grandfather Landers-Dr. David R . He had his practice at Six Mile Point Store in Faulkner County which was near Duncan school house near Liberty church. He married two of Jack Duncan's daughters-Malinda and Sarah. He is buried at Old Liberty Cemetery. I have been told by my Dad and Uncles that he was bitten by a mad dog after delivering a baby at Chadwick somewhere near panther creek. He made it home and died in a corn crib.
He had the following children-Robert B Landers (Bob) (my great grandfather)-his mother I do not know.
Nora- her mother was Sarah Duncan Landers(Nora worked for years at Hines Hotel in Conway Ark. It was there she met Mr. W R James. She worked as maid at old Revalode Hotel across from washeteria (same street as post office) when it burnt she lived in a 2 story house where legion hut is now (1981). When the hotel burned she had to jump out of second floor window to get out.
Mr. James started the business school there in Conway. The other children Maggie B who married a J T Harrison, Louisa, Jack (died in the sanatorium in Little Rock) and Arthur. Their mother was Malinda Duncan Landers. I do know that Dr Landers came from Ireland with 2 or 3 brothers and they separated once they reached the states. After his death Robert B drew 3 royalty checks from an estate in Ireland. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
I fit into the picture- Robert B married Fannie Gertrude Patterson and had Lizzie, Samuel, Winfred, Ethel and George Melton (my grandfather). George Milton married Della Pairalee Jones and they had Winfred, Robert, Loyce, George and Lloyd. Lloyd is my father.
Update 8/08:
I had some of my information wrong earlier. Norah's mother was Malinda. Dr David Landers had 4 wives, ? who was the mother to Catherine 1845-1887 (she married a W Bumgarner in Yell Co), Mary Jane Howard married in 1851 in Pulski Co and moved to Yell Co near Danville and had Robert B(1857-1895), Maragret Jane (1854-1861 buried in Danville cemetery) Charles William (1855-1882 and stayed with Catherine when Dr Landers moved to Faulkner Co)
He married a Elizabeth G, Sarah E in 1876, Malinda in 1876 By Malinda he had Norah, Maggie B (married J T Harrison in Pulaski Co) Lousia, Jack and Arthur. Arthur is listed in 1900 census as a nephew of James Duncan in Pulaski Co Bayou Meto #145 and farm laborer. If anyone has any info on any of these please share. Thanks
