When the dam was built at Ozark, water backed up and internees were moved to Hight Cemetery.

From Ozark where Highways 64 and 23 meet, go west 10 miles and turn left.
At the next road turn left and see sign for Hight Cemetery.  It is 1 1/2
miles from Hwy 64.

From Mulberry go east at intersection of Highways 64 and 215.  Go 3.1 miles
and turn right. then same as above.

Located at the southwest corner at the fence seven markers stating
"Unknown".  These graves were near the mouth of White Oak Creek at the
Arkansas River.  When the dam was built at Ozark the water backed up into
this area and the graves were removed to Hight Cemetery.  George McKinney
owned land in this section[3] and this may have been his family cemetery.

On recheck, the fieldstones [rocks] have been removed.  We think this is a
big mistake.  We are leaving our fieldstones in this record, because the
rocks mark an adult or a childs grave by space between the head and foot of
the grave.

The above was copied from page 277 of Franklin County Arkansas Cemeteries
North of the Arkansas River by Sue Clark and Virginia McPhail.

Does anyone know of a survey of Hight Cemetery in Mulberry?
