COLE'S CHAPEL CEMETERY

Located 5 miles south of Branch and 1/2 mile east of Molly Reed Mountain on Hwy 41 in Sixmile Township.

This cemetery was first done by the members of the Coles Chapel EH Club in 1968...on their transcription they say: "This oldest living settler of this area, Jesse Cole, recalls there was several graves on this plot when his father, Johathan Cole, came to this community and bought the farm on which this cemetery is located. The purchase was made from a Mr. Bower in 1877. Mr. Jonathan Cole gave the land which is now the cemetery plot. The cemetery and church were named for him. If the cemetery was ever called by another name, no one knows what it was."

There are 256 graves with no info....only sandstone markers.
