ALTUS CHURCHES
St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altus, Arkansas
Saint Mary's is the oldest church still in use in Altus.
In the year 2002 this church will celebrate it's 100th anniversary. It sets atop Pond Creek Mountain.
The church bells can be heard for miles around.
Several visitors have claimed their parents or grandparents were married or baptized here in this church.
