Mulberry, Arkansas

Thanks to Anne Muffley

May she rest in peace.

Dear Don, We haven't corresponded in a while.  I just recently found some more old photos and postcards. It may be that the men on this highway department crew were Andersons or relatives.  I'm sure that the information on the equipment could probably be researched through Arkansas Highway Department records and dates could be forthcoming.

The post card of the Rail Road Bridge at Mulberry was postmarked 1915, from my paternal grandfather at Mulberry, to his daughter, Mattie Ruth Donald in Barnes.

Recently I saw one of the Franklin County Court House photos on a general site for Franklin County. It may be that they'd be interested in the Rail Road Bridge postcard too. If you have any contact with someone who would also like to use it, you have my permission to share it.

I still have a batch of "unknown" people of Franklin County and will be sending you those for posting on the site. I know that someone will recognize their ancestors.   Happy Holidays, Anne

NOTE: Anne Muffley suddenly passed away while on vacation in Sweden in 2002. For more than five years she donated materials to this website. We loved her and will sorely miss her.
