Our first known Turner ancestor was Richard Turner and his wife who settled first in Washington then in Franklin Co., AR.

His first child was born in Tennessee and all of the rest of his children were born in Ark.

The only one of his children that we know much about is James, our gggrandfather.

Some of our Turners still live in Branch, Charleston, Paris, Little Rock, Maumelle and other parts of Arkansas.
