Hebron Cemetery

The information for the Hebron Cemetery was submitted by Rosalie Guthrie who states:

"The Hebron Church and Hebron Cemetery is on land that was previously owned by the Rev. Murdock McDonald. He owned a total of 160 acres of land in 1876 and his homestead can be seen from the Church. Some of the following names were of his immediate family. Rev. Murdock McDonald was a son of Daniel McDonald and Margaret "Cumpsty" McDonald. There are many others buried in the Hebron Cemetery, but unfortunately I did not write their names down."

NOTES from Rosalie Guthrie:  It is said that Daniel W. Mitchell arrived in Fulton county in 1870 (was born in Marion county, TN) and rented land until 1872.  Daniel then started accumulating land and eventually owned 600 acres of land NE of that area and his land was later established as Mitchell Town.
