I have been trying to trace my family roots, on my dad's side, for a number of years, mostly without any luck. I understand he was born in Salem, Ar, in the year 1906, Aug. 6. At least that is one of the dates I have. I also understand he was part indian, from what tribe, I do not know. I do not have any information on my grandparents, except their names - David Estes and Irene Eddings. I was told my grandmother was the full-blooded indian in the family. Is there a way you can let me know what tribe was centered around Salem from 1900 - 1910? Submitter: Gerri

ROBBINS
I am looking for information on my Grandparents, Walter Everett and Vincie Lynn (Brown) Robbins. An uncle of mine told me when I began my search that if I began looking under ROBINS that I would not find anything, that my Grandpa Robbins chose to drop one of the B's from his last name because "he could see no sense in wasting time in spelling it with two B's when it sounded the same with one B". I know from family records that they moved to Camp, Arkansas about 1928-29 and had four more children. When they moved to Camp, Arkansas they had five children. My Grandma Vincie died there around 1940-41 and my mother says that she is buried at Salem, Arkansas but she could not remember the name of the cemetery. Is there anyone out there that can help me?
