Mary Alice (Douglas) Wood, loving wife and mother born June 11th, 1935 in Little Rock, Arkansas and long time resident of East End passed away Sunday, March 29th, 2009. She loved the 9 years she worked as a food service technician at East End Elementary School. She also loved gardening and spent many hours in her yard tending to the flowers. She was a member of Forest Tower Baptist Church.Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Penny and Garry Williams; grandson and his wife, Brad and Jody Williams; granddaughter, Kerry Williams; great-grandchildren, Ally Jo Williams, 10 and Eldon Williams, 7, all of East End; sister, Diane Fletcher of East End; favorite niece, Eda Ross; other favorite niece, Lynn Herbert; and many more beloved family and friends. Preceded in death by husband, W.E. “Woody” Wood; mother, Sadie Smith; sister,Martha Graves.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday at Forest Tower Baptist Church. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday and North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St. 758-1170.
