The tribute was written by Reuben's father in
law, Dr. Richard C. Burton,
probably in late 1902 or early 1903. I don't know which
paper it was
printed in. I have an original and it getting pretty faded
and yellowed.
This tribute is courtesy of Elwanda Gates of Delaplaine who
kindly permitted
me to bring it all the way to Hawaii.
