Sammy Lee Pentecost


Sammy Lee Pentecost, 51, of Marmaduke died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2000, at V.A. Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
He was born Sept. 19, 1949, in Rector. He was the assistant manager of Family Dollar Store. He was also an Army and Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Lee and Mary Ellen Smith Pentecost; and two brothers, Dennis Pentecost and Johnny Pentecost.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Pentecost of the home; a son, Sammy Lee Pentecost Jr., of the home; three daughters, Jessica Elaine, Jennifer Lynn, and Amber Michelle Pentecost, all of the home; and two brothers, Jimmie Curtis of Corning and Harold Hickman of Knobel.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Irby Funeral Home in Rector with Brother Humphreys officiating. Burial will be at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. before the service on Monday at the funeral home.

Doll L. England


Doll L. England, 88, of Paragould died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould.
She was born March 6, 1912, in Paragould. She was a homemaker and member of First Freewill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Randel England; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Lenington; a brother, Russell Lenington; and a sister, Tootsie Ray.
Survivors include two sons, Gaylen England of Paragould and David England of Russellville; two daughters, Toni Henderson of Paragould and Jacquelyn Mathieu of Jackson, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a stepgrandchild.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould with the Rev. J.W. Gibbs officiating. Burial will be at Linwood Cemetery in Paragould.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.

Lucille Eastin

 
Lucille Eastin, 79, of Paragould died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at her residence.
She was born April 6, 1921, in Rector. She was retired from Ely and Walker Shirt Factory and a member of 10th Street Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Eastin; her parents, Lucien and Nellie Massey Groom; and a sister, Lorene Cate.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Dinah and Claude Greer of Paragould; two sisters, Garnell Koller and Willodean Thompson, both of Bridgeton, Mo.; three grandchildren, Jason Greer, Nathan Greer, and Devon Greer, all of Paragould; three nieces, Sue Watson, Janet Koller and Patricia Mackey.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould with Waymon Holt and Jack Bearden officiating. Burial will be at Linwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Azzanni, Chris George, Rick McCloud, Jim Tedder, Steve Greer and Kason Hurt.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Lung Association.
