Audrey H. Stevenson

Audrey H. Stevenson of Walnut Ridge died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2001, at Walnut Ridge Nursing Home & Rehab Center of natural causes. She was 95.
She was born Dec 30, 1905, in Greene County, The daughter of the late Thomas Edward and Alice (Thomason) Hardin. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the campground United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs Stevenson was preceded in death by a son, William Raymond

Rayetta Faye Gardner 

Rayetta Faye Gardner, 57, of Paragould, died Wednesday, January 24, 2001, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born Nov. 30, 1943, in Greene County. She was a former Loan Officer with  Pocahontas Federal and member of Seventh and Muller Church of Christ. She was a former member of the Exchange Club, Chamber of Commerce, an associate member of  the local Board of Realtors, and past director of the American Heart Association.

She was preceeded in death by her parents; Ray and Laura Evans Chaffin.

Survivors include two sons; Tony Gardner and Chris Gardner both of Jonesboro, two brothers; Rick Chaffin and Charles Chaffin both of Paragould; and a grandson Evan Gardener of Jonesboro.

The Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould with Larry McFadden officiating. Burial will be at the Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould.

Pallbearers will be: J. W. Evans, Phillip Evans, Grant McDaniel, Bob Campbell, Floyd Landrum and Bob Wood.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. this evening at the funeral home.

Uwell H. Williams

Uwell H. Williams, 90, of Paragould, formerly of  Marmaduke, died Tuesday,  January 23, 2001, at Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould.

He was born September 7, 1910 in Greene County. He was a farmer and of Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian Reddick Williams; five brothers, Carl, Earl Clois, Hoyt, and Othelos Williams; and a sister Opal Reynolds.

Survivors include his wife; Ruth Williams of Paragould, two sons; Randal Williams and Gary Williams, both of Paragould; a stepson, Eugene Pruitt of Paragould; a daughter Ruella "Jo" Blackshear of Marmaduke; a brother Hulen Williams of Michigan; a sister Pauline Evans of Rector; six grandchildren, Melissa Coffell, Marsha Copeland, Eric Williams, Keith Williams, Chris Blackshear, and Misty Fender; and nine great-grandchildren; Brittany Foster, Grant Foster, Landon Coffell, Tyler Copeland, Katelynn Copeland, Tiffany Williams, Zachary Williams, and Hunter Fender.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Irbys Funeral Home in Marmaduke with Royce Boling and Conley Williams officiating. Burial will be at Ramer's Chapel Cemetery, west of Marmaduke.

Pallbearers will be: Keith Williams, Eric Williams, Chris Blackshear, Kevin Coffell, Steve Copeland and  Phillip Williams.
