Jack Barrow , 72, of Paragould , died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003 , at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould .
He was born Aug. 31, 1931 , in Stanford . He was the retired owner/operator of North Side Auto Sales, a U.S. Army veteran and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Mollie Barrow; one son, Rodger Barrow ; three sisters, Billie Sue Howdeshell , Omia Drewselia Barrow and Agnes Stroud ; and one brother, Oliver Barrow .
Survivors include his wife, Anna M. Barrow of Paragould; one son, Ronnie Barrow of Paragould; four daughters, Pam Palmison of Colleyville, Texas, Karen Moore of Branson, Mo., Ruth Wheelan of Catawissa, Mo., and Rhonda King of Paragould; one brother, Roy Barrow of Paragould; two sisters, Sally Holifield of Rector and Mary Lou Barrow of Bristol, Mo.; his mother-in-law, Grace Vivian Taylor of Paragould; nine grandchildren, Kristie Price, Kari McGhee, Dameon Rowe, Mollie Palmison, Mike Barrow, Mitch Barrow, Laura Sue Short, Chase Crews and Jordan Crews; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Heath Colonial Chapel with the Rev. J.B. Harris and the Rev. Eddie Harris officiating. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould under the direction of Heath Funeral Home of Paragould.

William Edward Wade , 76, of Jonesboro , died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003 , at his home. He was born April 21, 1927 , in Clay County . He lived in Jonesboro for 48 years. He was a shipping clerk and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church in Paragould .
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Lyles Wade ; his parents, Walter E. and Ola Mae Berry Wade; and one brother, Donald Wade .
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Rebecca Wade of Jonesboro ; one stepson and step daughter-in-law, Larry and Beverly Lyles of Thayer , Mo. ; and two grandchildren, Tanner and Holly Wade .
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Bro. Ronnie Winne officiating.
Burial will be at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector under the direction of Irby Funeral Service.

Sandra Kay Qualls , 61, of Lafe, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2003 , at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro .
She was born June 21, 1942 , in Baltimore , Md. She was a retired civil service clerk and typist. She was a member of St. Mary 's Catholic Church, a board member of the original Paragould Habitat for Humanity and worked federal and state elections for 15 years. She was also a board member of the Catholic Diocesan Council of Women for 20 years and a member of St. Mary 's Altar Society, serving twice as president.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore John and Lorraine Mary Cyr Kraus.
Survivors include her husband, Hugh L. Qualls of Lafe; two sons and daughters-in-law, Hugh " Sandy " III and Holly Ann Qualls of Lee Vining, Calif., and Maj. Ted Donald and Christine Qualls of Columbus, Ga.; three half brothers, Robert Parkos of Fresno, Calif., Steven Parkos of Bailey, Colo., and Hughie Hughlin of Cucamonga, Calif.; five grandchildren, Ashley Blythe Qualls of Seattle, Wash., Maxwell Hugh Qualls and Jackson Qualls, both of Lee Vining, Rory Ted Qualls of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Hunter Qualls of Columbus, Ga.; and two aunts, Dorothy Ann Doyle of Lakewood, Calif., and Marianne Cyr of Lake Havaso City, Ariz.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary 's Catholic Church with Father John Marconi and Deacon Rex Bouldin officiating. Burial will be in Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould under the direction of Heath Funeral Home.

Burles Raleigh Scobey, 82, died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2003 , in Hot Springs Village . He was born in Beech Grove.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Viola Scobey; three brothers, Artie, Lavern, and Hoyt Scobey ; and one granddaughter, Suzanne White .
Survivors include his wife, Gerry Scobey , of Hot Springs Village ; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jim White of Hot Springs Village ; three sisters, Bernice Plyler and Rebecca Golden of Flint , Mich. , and Betty Lou Tabor of Hanover , Mass. ; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today at Arkansas Veteran's Cemetery in North Little Rock .

  Joe Wayne Thompson 

Joe Wayne Thompson , 77, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2003 , at the Methodist University Hospital .
He was born Aug. 17, 1926 , in Bucoda , Mo. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the Senath American Legion Post and a member of the First Baptist Church .
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Elizabeth McDole Thompson ; and one son, Douglas Thompson .
Survivors include his wife, Goldie Thompson of Senath; one son and daughter-in-law, Danny Cain and Claudia Thompson of Memphis, Tenn.; one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Keith Bateman of Sikeston, Mo.; one daughter-in-law, Pam Thompson of Senath; three sisters, Mavis Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz., Betty Maples of St. Louis, Mo., and Doris Fitzgibbons of St. Charles, Mo.; six grandchildren, Ronnie Cain, Christy Bentley, Latasha Hauptman, Joe Don Thompson, and Ryan and Aaron Bateman; one great-grandson, Trenton Thompson; and many relatives and friends.

Bobby V. Timmons 

Bobby V. Timmons , 67, of Paragould , died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003 , at his home. He was born in Itawamba County , Miss. He lived in Monette before moving to Jonesboro where he lived much of his life.
He moved to Paragould 15 years ago. He was a founder of Creative Multigraphics Printing in Jonesboro , and operated the company several years before his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monette and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.L. and Ila Waddle Timmons; one sister, Ruth Nichols ; and one brother, Edward "Buck" Timmons.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Malcolm Timmons of the home; two sons, Todd Timmons of St. Mary's, Ga., and Mark Timmons of Naples, Italy; one step-son, Mark Malcolm of Little Rock; one step-daughter, Julie Lawrence of Valrico, Fla.; two sisters, Serena Jones and Doris Nall, both of Jonesboro; three brothers, Gene Timmons, Harold Dean Timmons, and Sonny Timmons, all of Jonesboro; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at the family home.
There will be no visitation.
The body was donated to The Anatomical Gift Program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock .

Thomas Rorex , 63, of Paragould , died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003 , at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould .
He was born Sept. 28, 1940 , and was a maintenance employee with the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Wayne and Mildred O. Martin Rorex ; two brothers, James Norman Rorex and Charles Lyndall Rorex ; and one sister, Greta Sutterfield .
Survivors include his wife, Tommie Rorex of Paragould; two daughters, Milissa Vowell and Sonya Holt, both of Paragould; one brother, Bobby Rorex of Iowa City, Iowa; two sisters, Billie Bryant and Myra Phillips, both of Jonesboro; and four grandchildren, Dynasty and Matthew Norwood and Emily and Tyler Holt, all of Paragould.

Thomas "Chubby" Seaborn, 94, of Piedmont , died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2003 , at the VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff .
He was born April 4, 1909 , near Cardwell , Mo. He was a retired carpenter and a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. He had lived in Piedmont for the past 26 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church .
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Myracle Seaborn of Cardwell , Mo. 
Survivors include two children, John Seaborn of Winchester , Mo. , and Sarah Duncan of Piedmont ; two stepchildren, Florcie Trivett of Cedar Creek , Mo. , and Robert Garrett of St. Louis , Mo. ; one sister, Ann Herman of St. Louis ; five grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Monday at the Morrison-Worley Funeral Home in Piedmont .

Rhoda Irene Pickett , 93, of Sublette , Kan. , died Oct. 3, 2003 , in Santanta , Kan. She was formerly of Stanford . She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mollie Copp and William Smith .
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ellen and Ray Tweed of Santanta and Harriet and Randall Williams of Paragould ; one brother, Bob Smith of Fayetteville ; one sister, Lurvine Herbert of Houston , Texas ; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Wilgus M. Childers, 88, of Jonesboro died Monday, Oct. 6, 2003 at his residence.

Born Jan. 17, 1915 in Lorado, he was a retired owner and manager of Bono Cotton Gin and a member of the Shady Grove United Methodist Church. He had lived in Jonesboro most of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Lena Childers of the home; one daughter, Rhonda Shannon of Jonesboro; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Scotty A. Childers; his parents, R.O. and Zeffie Ellington Childers; and a brother.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Gregg Funeral Home Chapel in Jonesboro, with the Revs. Don Nicholson and Wayne Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Lorado Cemetery.

He was born Oct. 12, 1935 , in Clay County . He was a self-employed farmer, coached summer baseball for many years and loved water skiing. He was an active supporter of Marmaduke and Williams Baptist Athletics.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Ethel Priest Thompson.
Survivors include his wife, Willyne Thompson of Marmaduke, one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Tammy Thompson of Paragould; two daughters and one son-in-law, Debbie and Dave Guemmer of DeSoto, Mo., and Cindy Burns of Pine Bluff; two sisters, Glenda Beasley of Paragould and Kay Stroud of Batesville; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was born March 19, 1938 , in Rector. He was a teller at Union Planters Bank for 31 years, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of First General Baptist Church in Rector.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Avis Adams ; his father, Beryl Adams; two brothers, Eugene and Johnny Adams ; and one sister, Lorretta Adams .
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Alan Cavaness of Rector; his mother, Bernadine Morgan Adams of Rector; one sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Clayton Welker of Wright City, Mo.; one niece, Catherine Cumberledge of Wentzville, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley and Aubrey Cavaness, all of Rector.

Alice Butler Dillin, 84, of Searcy, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003 , at her home.
She was born March 8, 1919 in Alicia . She was a charter member of Westside Church of Christ and a graduate of Swifton High School . She served as senior vice commander of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary; president of the Central Arkansas Hospital Auxiliary, where she volunteered more than 2,500 hours of service; and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Russell Dillin , and her parents, Elza and Susan Smith Butler.
Survivors include one son, George Edward Dillin of Searcy; four daughters, Jane White of North Little Rock , Susie Keesling of Little Rock , Gracie Pace of Searcy, and Elizabeth "Betty" Jones of Little Rock ; one sister, Elizabeth Dobyns of Searcy; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Gearline M. Stuart , 87, of Paragould , died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003 , at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould .
She was born July 26, 1916 in Tennessee . She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, W. Bill Stuart ; her parents, Lloyd and Sara Rassette ; two sons, Doyne and Jimmy Stuart ; one daughter, Janet Stuart ; one brother, Bud Rassette ; and two sisters, Ruth Monroe , and Sis Yow.
Survivors include three sons, Kay Don Stuart , Fred Stuart and Joe Stuart , all of Paragould ; one daughter, Sissy Barba of Searcy; two sisters, Vivian Carey and Polly Rassette , both of Paragould ; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one niece, Gat Slayton of Paragould.

He was born Sept. 8, 1964 , in DeWitt. He was raised by his grandparents, Clifton and Bertha Ruth Smith, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Edward Smith .

Rev. Van Cecil Booth , 78, of Marmaduke died Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003 , at Rector Heath Care in Rector.
He was born Sept. 22, 1925 , in Leachville. He was a retired minister with the Southern Baptist Churches. He was the former mayor of Marmaduke and the founder of Booth & Sons Appliance. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvis Booth ; two brothers, Harvey and Alvis Booth ; three sisters, Wilma Summers, Jewell Richardson and Wanda Bridges ; and one son-in-law, Major Ken Beaton .

Born in Walcott, Iglehart lived much of his life in the Lake City-Jonesboro area. He pastored Missionary Baptist Churches in Texarkana , Gurdon, Lake City , Sikeston ( Mo. ) and Jonesboro . He recently served as pastor of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in north Jonesboro before resigning due to failing health. He was a member of the Temple Missionary Baptist Church of Jonesboro, a U.S. Army veteran and a 1951 graduate of Greene County Tech High School .
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Iglehart ; two sons, Brent and Ricky Iglehart ; and his parents, Walter and Hattie Slatton Iglehart .

He was born July 16, 1920 , in Cardwell. He had been employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years and was owner of a trucking business. He was a U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force veteran, and received the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the United Nations and Korean Service Medals. He was a Baptist.

Terrie Ann West , 57, of Paragould , died Friday, Oct. 17, 2003 , at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.
She was born May 27, 1946 , in Knobel. She was a homemaker and a Protestant.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jimmy West ; one son, Donald West; her parents, Otis and Elsie Eaton ; and two granddaughters, Carmilla and Camela White .
Survivors include her husband, Monroe Abbott of Paragould; two sons, Jimmy West of Paragould and Shannon West of Memphis, Tenn.; two daughters, La Donna McAbee of Allen, Texas, and Marsha West White of Paragould; five brothers, Ronald Eaton of Jonesboro, Richard Eaton and Bill Eaton, both of Paragould, Randal Eaton of Little Rock and Bobby Eaton of Dallas, Texas; four sisters, Donna Coggins of Jackson, Miss., Patricia Mangrum of Paragould, Irene Harbin of Jonesboro and Holly Eaton of Dallas; and seven grandchildren, Mistee McAbee, Kristee McAbee, Justin West, Skyler West, Cassidy West, Jada White and Monique White.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Woods Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Earl Mangrum officiating and under the direction of Heath Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lucy Weatherford Stone ; one brother, Ceral Stone; and one sister, Rhema Eskridge .
Survivors include her husband, Vance Cupp, Jr., of Light; one son and daughter-in-law, Vance III and Nancy Cupp of Paragould; one daughter and son-in-law, Jannie and Johnny Distretti of Walcott; five sisters, Marie Ivy and Carolyn Ellis, both of Light, Lucy Ellis of Maynard, Ola Mae Orsburn of San Antonio, Texas, and Wanda Long of Pocahontas; four grandchildren, Ashley and Casey Distretti of Walcott and Madeline and Quentin Cupp of Paragould. She is also survived by a faithful caregiver of 25 years, Ethel Noles .

Goldie Evalyn Bell 

Goldie Evalyn Bell , 78, of Springfield , Ill. , died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2003 , at her home.
She was born Nov. 13, 1924 , in Alicia . She had been employed by Allis Chalmers from 1944 until 1946 as a forklift operator. In the early 1950s, she managed a restaurant in Springfield and later worked for 10 years at Rutledge Manor as a nurse's aide. She was also employed by various other nursing homes in Springfield . She was a lifelong member of the Churches of Christ and a member of Clearlake Church of Christ since 1966.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover T. Bell; her parents, Raymond and Ethel Bertha Bobbitt Shreeves; one brother, Willis A. Shreeves ; and one sister, Virginia M. Shreeves .
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Dannie T. and Beverly Bell of Kisumi-Kenya, East Africa, and Paul P. and Patricia Bell and Steven R. and Kathleen Bell, all of Springfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Evalyn P. and Dewayne Donley of Black Jack, Mo.; four sisters, Mildred S. She was born Aug. 12, 1925 , in Hot Springs . She was a homemaker and member of the El Centro Regional Medical Center auxiliary, a member of the National Pilots Association, a past president of the Women's Ten Thousand Club in El Centro and a member of the American Legion auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Beverly Ann Nowell ; two sisters, Ruth Scott and Elizabeth Morrison ; her father- and mother-in-law, Ether and Zora Nowell of Marmaduke; her sister-in-law, Verneal Hamilton of Marmaduke; and her brother-in-law, J.T. Dickerson of Hot Springs .

Sylvia Heath Lumsden, 101, of Caruthersville , Mo. , died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2003 , at Baptist Memorial Hospital in East Memphis , Tenn. 
She was born June 3, 1902 , in Nettleton.
At 61, she graduated from Arkansas State College with a bachelor of science in education and went on to teach second grade at Southside Elementary until her retirement in May, 1972. She taught in a one-room schoolhouse at one time.
She was a longstanding member of the Eastwood Memorial United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women's Circle and a member of the Virginia Ward Sunday School Class. She was a 50-year member of the National Organization, PEO, Chapter DM of Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, L.P. "Luckey" Lumsden; her parents, Isaac Newton and Mollie Florence Benham Heath; two daughters, Bettye June Wilks and Patricia Zimmer; three grandsons, John Peyton "Jack" Wilks and Ron and Mike Zimmer; one son-in-law, Randy Zimmer; two brothers, Burl Heath and Verlyn L. Heath; and three sisters, Ickle Wester, Lessie Woods and Connie Grable.
Survivors include one son-in-law, John C. He was born May 9, 1908 , in Paragould . He was a retired farmer and carpenter, and a member of East Main Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie McClure; and one grandson, Eric Churchwell.

Herman Ennis , 81, of Success, died Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2003 , at Methodist Hospital Center in Memphis .
He was born on Dec. 17, 1921 , in Success. He was a farmer, a member of the Success American Legion and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Lexington during World War II. He was a member of the Success Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mollie Hines Stallings Ennis and James Horace Ennis ; three brothers, Floyd Stallings , Melvin Ennis and Vernon Ennis; and three sisters, Mable Thomas , Jessie Reid and Hazel Scates .

She was born Jan. 23, 1925 , in Paragould . She was retired from McDonnell Aircraft of St. Charles , Mo. , and was a clerk for Unique Accents. She was a member of the 10th Street Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joel and Mary Gibson ; her husband, Charles Carr ; one son, Keith Carr ; five brothers; and five sisters.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Jo Warren of Krum , Texas ; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse Willard and Lula Rice Sullivan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Zora Johnson Ward ; his parents, Ed Ward and Della Seagrave Ward Cannon ; his stepfather, George Cannon ; a brother; a sister; and his stepbrothers.
Survivors include his step-grandchildren, Terry and Cassandra Menz of Paragould; one brother-in-law, Ray Johnson of Cabot ; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Cypert of Sheridan .

Mildred Wicker 

Mildred Wicker , 80, of Bono, formerly of Jonesboro and Walnut Ridge, died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003 , at St. Bernard's Medical Center in Jonesboro . She was born Nov. 5, 1922 , in the Laura town community. She was retired from the John F. Barners Factory in Rockford , Ill and was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver D. "Dick" Wicker; her parents, Luther and Stella West Pope; one son, Dickey Joe Wicker; three sisters, Ruby Millsap, Velva Jones and Betty Pope ; and two brothers, John Pope and Chester Pope.
Survivors include two sons, Richard Wicker and Larry Wicker , both of Rockford ; one daughter, Barbara Bass of Paragould ; one sister, Joyce Dement of Jonesboro ; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

James E. English 

James E. English , 70, of Pine Bluffs, Wyo. , died Monday, Oct. 27, 2003 .
He was a member of the Church of God Seventh Day for more then 50 years. He graduated from Springvale Academy in Owosso , Mich. and was the youngest, and last surviving, of 14 children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Effie Pauline Stout and Herbert Charles English , and one grandchild Thomas English .
Survivors include seven children, Suzanna Hensell, Bonnie James and Charles English, all of Paragould, Mark English of West Virginia, Patrick English of Florida, Hana Jones of Alaska, and Ninnette English; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was born May 15, 1927 , in Gideon , Mo. She was an assembler at Basler Electric Co. and a member of the Church of Christ .
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvis Bruce and Alice Amick Bruce ; the father of her children, Harold Hoey ; one brother, Melvin Bruce ; one sister, Edna Cooper ; one half-sister, Zella Wilson ; and three grandchildren, Patrick Clayton , Roger Clayton and Kelly Rainwater Stromes.
Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Clayton of Concord and Judy Rainwater and Debbie Malding, both of Peach Orchard; one son, Jim Hoey of Peach Orchard; two brothers, George Bruce of Royal and Bill Bruce of St. Louis, Mo.; four grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hosea Cemetery in Knobel under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home of Corning.
Visitation will be from noon until service time Friday at the funeral home.

Thomas Evans Puckett 

Thomas Evans Puckett , 77, of Madera , Calif. , died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2003 , at his home. He was born Aug. 24, 1926 , in Corpus Christi , Texas . He was formally of Paragould and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Blanche Puckett ; and two sisters, Mary E. Stanley and Mildred Puckett .
Survivors include his wife, Bernice Puckett, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Butch White of Lafe, and June and James Lilly of Raleigh, N.C.; four granddaughters, Debbie Bailey and Amy Samons, both of Paragould, Leslie White of Lafe, and Susan Wyatt of Raleigh, N.C.; one grandson, Jason Lilly of Raleigh, N.C.; three great-granddaughters, Kasey and Taylor Bailey of Paragould and Megan Wyatt of Raleigh, N.C.; and one great-grandson, Ryan White of Lafe.

Bill Arnold 

Bill Arnold , 77, of Peach Orchard, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003 , at his home. He was born Sept. 18, 1926, in Knobel and was a farmer. He was in the U.S. Army and served in Korea .
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Nellie Arnold and a great-grandson, Caleb Smart .
Survivors include his wife, Eula Arnold of the home; three sons, Donnie and Eugene Arnold, both of Knobel, and Michael Arnold of Corning; four daughters, Mona Keeling and Frances Bowen, both of Peach Orchard, Sandra Williams of Corning, and Tammy Arnold of Knobel; two brothers, Ronnie Arnold of Richwood, Mo., and Jimmy Arnold of California; four sisters, Imogene Sawyers of Kennett, Mo., Barbara Arnold of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Alice Lowoski of Washington, and June Arnold of Phoenix, Ariz.; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hosea Cemetery in Peach Orchard with the Rev. Gary Holcomb officiating and under the direction of Ermert Funeral Home of Corning.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Richard Cecil Ladyman

Richard Cecil Ladyman , 91, of Rector, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003 , at Piggott Community Hospital .
He was born Feb. 22, 1912 , in Clay County . He was a farmer and a lifelong member of the community. He was a deacon of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Rector for 60 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lorene Dortch Ladyman ; two sons, Charles Terry Ladyman and Thomas James Ladyman ; five brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Lavern Rogers Ladyman of Piggott Nursing Home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Paula Ladyman of Rector and Donald and Retha Ladyman of Paragould; one daughter and son-in-law, Glenda Ladyman and Dean Pillert of Little Rock; one sister, Elizabeth Futtrell of Rockford, Ill.; three grandchildren, Cindy Dickinson of Rockford, Ill., Janet Fair of Rector, and Jennifer Hobbs of Conway; three step-grandchildren, Jennifer Amos and Heather Johnson, both of Paragould, and Jacob Pillert of Little Rock; five great-grandchildren, Brittany Fair of Rector, Morgan Amos, Madison Amos, and Tanner Baker, all of Paragould, and Ashley Dickinson of Rockford, Ill.; and many nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Rector with Bro. Kenny Burns officiating.
Burial will be in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector under the direction of Irby Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Larry Catt , Don Kirklin , Don Huckabay , Tommy Huggins , Jerry Dodd and Jimmy Dodd .
Honorary pallbearers are Lonzo Parrish and Leroy Cruce .
Visitation will be at 4:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
