Ronald Keith Rooker

Ronald Keith Rooker 45 of Bradley Ill. died Widnesday June 7 2000 in  Bradley . He was an iron worker avid horseman and member of Local 465 He lived in  the O`Kean  area for many years before maving to Bradley  He was preceded in death by his grandparents Mr, and Mrs Joe Bill Like and Mr and Mrs E R Rooker and a granddaughter Rachel Rooker Survivors include his wife Janer Menz Rooker of the home a daughter Natasha Glenn of Rector a stepdaughter April Menzof Bourbonnais, Ill.two  Stepsons Joseph  Beck lll and Leo Beck both of Bradley his parents E W and Ann Rocher of O` Keab a sister Sharon Parten of Paragould and two  brothers Gary Rooker of O`Kean and Don Rooker of Gulf  Port Miss. A graveside service will be at 10 am Monday  Greene County Menorial Gardens Cemetery in  Paragould.  Visitation will be from  2 to 4 pm /sybdat at Giyse - gregg Funeral Home at Walnut Ridge.

Javan Mangrum

Javan Mangrum 65 of Paragould died Thursday, June 8 2000 at  Regional Medical Center of NEA in Jonesboro. She was  born March 22 1935 in Paragould. She was a deputy clerk for Greene County and member or Rosewood Baptist Church she was preceded in death by her husband Joe Mangrum; her parents J. D. and Vera Taylor Hughes and a grandfather J. H. Hughes. Survivors include two sons and a Daughter- in law Danny Mangrum of Paragould and Doug and Toni Mangrum of Wilmington N C two daughters and sons-in -laws Teresa and Shane Roofe of Rector and Marsha and Dan Lovelady of Dover a sister Marilyn Laffoon of Hattiesburg,Miss. and seven grandchildren David Hendrix, Merisha Mangrum, Mandy Mangrum, Brett Mangrum, Paul Lovelady Taylor Lovelady ,and Alex Roofe. The funeral will be ar 11 a m Satursay at Heath Funeral Home in Parahould with the Revs. Ron Pickney and and Marion Gramling officiating  Burial will be from 6 to 8  Burial will be at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould.  Pallbearers will be Brett Mangrum ,David Hendrix ,Randy Reeves, Bucky Beasley ,John Hobey and Danny Tyan. Vistation will be from  6 to 8 p m this evening at the funeral home  The family requests memorials be made to Rosewood Baptist Church .

Marvine Knopp Fox

Marvine Knopp Fox 69 of Jonesboro formerly of Paragould died  Thursday June  8, 2000 at Baptist East in Memphis Tenn. was born April 17 1931 in Peach Orchard and attended First United Methodest Church in Jonesboro She was  a member of the Society of Public Accountants, Altrusa  Club and also tutored for the Adult Educating Center in Jonesboro Fox  worked as an accountant for Paragould Laundry  Ermon Powell, A&G Auto Parts ,Jerry Strickland and Associates and Jarmers Union Funeral Home .She was also owner of Marvine K Fox Public Accountant  Survivors inclide a son Mark Fox of Jonesboro a daughter Sawn Fox of Jonesboro  a brother Neal Buddy Knopp of Houston Texas  Two sisters Emma Houston of Coffeville Kan and Imogene Lewis of Jonesboro and one grand child Marka Fox  Grave side services will be at 2 pm sunday at Linwood Cemetery in Paragould with  Carlton Cross officiating Visitations will be from 6 to 8 this evening ar Roller- Farmer Union  Funeral Home in Jonesboro.  Active Pallbearers will be the management and staff of Roller- farmers Union Funeral Home  Honorary Pallbearers will  be  Jerry Strickland and Harold Baugh.

Earnest L Garrett

Earnest L Garrett 65 Of Brookland died June the 8 ,2000 at his residence.He was born May the 8, 1935 in Memphis Tenn and retired from the Air Force with 20 years of service Survivors include his wife Mary Garrett of Brookland three daughters Mary Laxton  of Paragould  Phillis Cadle of Brookland and Diane Garrett of FT. Worth Texas a brother  David Garrett of Ft. worth Texas and a sister Evelyn Shue of York Penn. and four grandsons  The funeral will be at 2 pm today at the Roller Farmers Union Home in Jonesboro  with Matt Smith and Toney Walker officiating  Burial will be at Pine Log  Cemetery  active pallbearers will be Jack Richardson Dale Imller , Lee Lovins, John Garrett ,Andy Mooneyhan and Brandon Fender .

Death Notice of Ruth Erelyn Hall 66 of  Delaplaine died  June 9 2000 at Randolph  County Nursing Home  Funeral Arragements are pending with Heath Funeral Home in Paragould.

John Henry  Johnson

John Henry  Johnson 64 of Paragould died Sunday June 11 2000 at Paragould Nursing Center  He was born Oct 29 1935 in Marmaduke was a Disabled Factory worker and of the Baptist faith He was preceded in death by his first wife Melba Johnson and a brother  Bobby Jhonson  Survivors include his parints Burl and Lorene Johnson of Paragould his present wife Ann Hammons Johnson two sons Fejj Faughn of Palm Springs Calif and Pat Toussaint of Illionois a daughter Sandy New of Illinois two brothers Darrell  Jhonson of St. Louis Mo. and three sisters Louise Ross  Osie Willson and Shirley Wright  all of Paragould Funeras services were  Wednkesday at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Ron Pickney officiating Burial  was in New Liberty Cemetery in Marmaduke.

Endis King Freeman

Endis King Freeman 95 of Jonesboro died Thursday June 15 2000 at Craighead Nursing Center in Jonesboro She was born July 21 1904 in Greene County  She was a homemaker and owner and operator of 56 Grocery Store  She was a nurses aide for Craighead Nurseng Center and of the Baptist faith She was preceded in death by her husband Elder W.C. Freeman  six brothers and sisters Survivors include a son James  William Freeman of Harris two Daughters Louise Watkins and Glenda Reeves Both o Jonesboro A brother Edward King of Cotter  a sister Bertha  Jackson of St. Louis Mo. six grandchildren nine great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews the funeral will be at 1 p. m. Saturday at Roller Farmers Union Funeral Home in Jonesboro with J. W. Russell and Jimmy Perkins officiating Burial will be at Jonesboro Memorial Park.

Robert Woodrow Thomason 82 of Paragould died Friday , June the 16 2000 Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould  he was borned April 28 1918 in Green County. He was a factory worker with Ely and Walker shirt factory  and a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church He was preceded in death by his parents ,Robert Leeand ,Mary Lucretia Blasingame Thomason . Survivers include his wife  Juanita Thomason of Paragould two sons Bob Thomason of Memphis Tenn. , and Jim Thomason of Little Rock ;a stepson Larry Ray of Paragould; a daughter Jo Ann Siglleton of Advance Mo. ;a step daughter Phillis Layman of  Paragould; six grandchildren seven step grandchildren ; seven great grandchildren ; and 12 step great grandchildren.

Clara May White

Clara May White, 85 of Paragould died June the 17, 2000 at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould. She was born Sept. 15 1914 in Gideon, Mo.  She was a former nurses aid and of the Pentecostal faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy White and three sons Charles  Lee White, Willimam Loyd White  and Ray Jefferson White. Survivors include three Sons John White and  David White both of Paragould  and Eddie "Slick"White of Marmaduke  three daughters Lola Mizell of Paragould , Thelma Bradley of Jonesboro and Doris Burnett of Leachville; a brother of Mt. Carmel, Ill. Several grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren. the funeral will be at 1 pm Monday at  Mitchell's Funeral Home in Paragould with Bill Bass officiating. Bural will be at Linwood Cemetery.

Norman Harvy 

Norman Harvy  68 Gray Summit Mo died at his home Saturday June 17 , 2000. He was born March 9 ,1932 in the Dixie community and was a retired mechanic from the Absorbent factory in Valley Park Mo  He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the  Masonic Lodge no. 281 in Fenton Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Mary Harvey of Dixie and a sister Ruby Joshlin of Memphis Tenn. Survivers include his wife Virginia Harvey two Daughters Thressa Homm of Osage Beach Mo and Nancy Harvey of Eldon Mo. three sons Keith Harvey of Pacific Mo. Jerry Harvy of Mt. Grove Mo. and Randy Harvey of Fenton Mo.  four sisters Lillian Good of Mt. Grove Mo. Helen Cox and Wava Fletcher of Paragould and Linda McNatt of Brookland three brothers Arthur Harvey of Paragould ,Roy Harvey of Dixie and Euene Harvey of St. Louis and eight grandchildren Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am at Bell Funeral Home in Pacific Mo. with Rev.Rick Elliot  officiating.

Marilyn Joyce Rasch

Marilyn Joyce Rasch 64 of Dyersburg Tenn Formerly of Paragould died Saturday June 17 2000 at Mtehodist Hospital in Dyersburg  She was a retired Registered Nurse having served for 24 years at Methodest Hospital in Dyersburg She was preceded in death by her father Harold E Hicks Survivors include her Mother Priscilla GreenHicks of Dyersburg Her husband  Emmett Rasch Jr. of  Dyersburg a daughter Cindy Jo Hill of Finley Tinn. Two sons Mike Rasch of Vicksburg. Miss. and Steve Rasch of Tulsa Okla. a brother Kenneth H  Hicks of Rockaway Beach Ore. and five grandchildren The funeral will  Be  at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with  D Mike Campbell officiating Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg Visitation will be at 6 p.m. this evening Active pallbearers will be  Don Ed  Hesting Austin Hill Don Felts Jeff Hill Bryce  and Fred Bell.

 

Lucille Jane McDonald 88  of Kennett Mo. formerly of Paragould died Sunday June 18 2000 at Heritage Nursing Center in Kenett She was born May 18 1912 in Paragould was a home maker and a member of the Union Centeral Church of christ  se was Preceded in death by her parents William and Nellis Tarrant Hanley her hesband Carl McDonald  adaughter Norman Joyce McDonald four brothers Eugene McDonald  Bill Robert and Chauncy Hanley and two sisters Jewell Yopp and Mary Wood  Survevors include a son and daughter-in- law Gary and Yvonne McDonald of Kennett a daughter and son- in-saw Carletta and Leonard Boggs of Kennett one sester Edna Mariott of Bakersfield Calif  five grandchildren Brian and Lisa McDonald of Kennett  Danny Boggs of Flat Rock N.C. and David Boggs of Portland Ore. and Four great grandchildren Jeremy Hyde of Kennett Caleb and Elijah Boggs of Flat Rock and Asa Boggs of Portland Org.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Heath Funeral Home Colonial Chaple in Paragould with Tim Wooldridge officiating Burial will follow in Linwood Cemetery in Paragould Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 P. M. at Heathe's  Pallbearers will be Winston Wooldridge Dean Wooldridge Barry Skhelton Gerlie Phillips Billy Hankley and Brian McDonald.

Paul C, Cockrum

Paul C, Cockrum 74 of Paragould died Monday June 19 2000 at St. Bernards Regional Medical Cinter in Jonesboro  He was born Lake City and lived in Paragould for 25 years He also liven in Monette and was retired from the G E plant Mr Cockrum served in the Army Navy andAir Force was a member of the VFW  and was of the Baptist faith  He was preceded in death  by his parents Paul and Minnie Cockrum and a Brother Joe Cockrum  Survivors include his wife Helen Cockrum of the home a step- daughter Kaura Caples of Jonesboro  Three sisters Lois Osborn of Jonesboro  Gigi Apkarian of Dinuba Calif. and Winnie Sanders of Levermore Calif. one grandchild and siveral nieces and nephews Graveside will be  Wednesday at 2 pm at Philadelphia Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Dale Huskey Officiating  Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Smith Frand Hyde Philip Bowers Jeff  Sanford Robin Bishop and Steve Strickland.  Visitation will be tonight from 5 to 7 at Gregg Funeral Home in Jonesboro.

Martha Ann Vangilder

Martha Ann Vangilder Rogers 61 of Piggott Formerly of Paragould died Wednesday June 21 2000 en Grenada Miss She was born  April 14 1939 She was a  receptionist for Dr Angela Howell and member or Hillchrest Missionary Baptist Church She was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Vangilder Survivors  Jim Rogers of Piggott her parents Charkie and Veda Shelby of Piggott a son Alan Vangilder of Paragould two stepdaughters  Penny Lee  and Pam Suitt both of Piggott a Panama City Beach Fla.two grandson Jason Vangilder Daniel Vangilder  both of Paragould a sister Rhonda Sims of Piggott a Niece Lori Sims of Piggott and several step grandchildren the funeral will be at  1 p m todday at Heath Funeral Home in Paragould with the Rev. Eddie Gene Wright officiating Burial will be at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould.

Pete Ricker 72 of Peach Orchard Died Thursday June 22 2000 at  Paragould Nursing Center in  He was born Sept 4 1927 in Bono He was a timber cutter and a WAorld War II Navy veteran He was also a member of the Church of Christ of Knoble  He was Preceded in death by his two sons Butch and Kenny Ricker Surivors include his wife Evelyn Ricker of Peach Orchard  two sons Don Ricker of Van Buren Mo.and Dean Ricker of Doniphan Mo: two step sons Jimmy Rouse of Paragould and Kenny Rouse of Peach Orchard  two stepdaughters Robin Frost of Paragould and Jinnifer Roush of Lafe a brother Neal Ricker of Bradford his father Lawrence of Bradford a sister  Elaine Shirts of Oregon 16 grand children and three great grandchildren  Agraveside service will be at 10:30 at the Ricker Cemetery in Peach Orchard with Tommie Arnold Officiating.
