WILLIAM L. LAWRENCE

Obituary

(copy of which is in the family Bible which is in the possession of Henry Lawrence)

W.L. Lawrence Dead

Passes away at his home on North Pruett Street - Death due to bowel trouble.

W.L. Lawrence, a well known resident of North Pruett Street, aged fifty-five years, died at the family home just before noon today, after an illness since last Sunday.  Death was due to obstruction of the bowels.

The deceased was a very clever old gentleman and respected by all who knew him.  He was an active member of the Fraternal Home and was engaged at times instituting lodges of that order at various places, and carried a policy of $1,000 in that organization.  He was also a member of the local Ancient Order of United Workmen, carrying with that order a policy of $2,000, making a total of $3,000 insurance he had on his life.

A family of a wife, four sons and one daughter survive him, with whom their large number of friends deeply sympathize.   The funeral and burial arrangements have not been definitely decided upon but will probably be conducted from the famiy home Sunday afternoon, under the auspices of the two orders with which the deceased was identified.

[No dates, place of birth or interment location were included with this obituary].
