Alvin Jackson Succumbs At Beach Grove Home

Alvin W. (Dick) Jackson, aged 60 years, a resident of the Beech Grove vicinity, died this morning at 12:20 o'clock of appendicitis. Mr. Jackson had been ill more than three weeks. 

He was a native of Tennessee and had been a resident of the county 37 years. He was one among the most influential farmers to the Beech Grove neighborhood.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his his wife and ten children; two daughters, Misses Nellie and Grace and eight sons: Clelly, Richard, Oscar, Chris, Ray, Archie, Sydney and Jones, and one sister, Mrs. Frank Pendergrass of Nashville, Tenn. The funeral was conducted this afternoon and 2:30 o'clock. Rev. E. R. Stallcup officiating. Interment took place in the Meadows' cemetery.
