Monday, July 15, 1935.

J.D. (James Donald ) George, dies at his home in Light Community. J.D. George, age 81, of Light, died at 7:30 o'clock last night at his home following an illness due to dropsy and malaria. He was a native of Corinth,MS., but had been a resident of Greene county 31 years and was engaged in farming.

Funeral services were conducted at two o'clock this afternoon from the Mt. Zion Baptist Church and burial was made in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. The Rev. Orb Ryan, Baptist Minister, officiated. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary A. George; five daughters, Mrs. Enoch Allred of O'Kean, Mrs. Arthur Friar and Mrs. Maggie Long, both of Walnut Ridge, Mrs. L.C. Webster and Mrs. Herbert Webster, both of Light; two sons, Marion George of Walnut Ridge and Johnnie George of Light, and 26 grandchildren.
