Thomas Theodore Coln

Father of Nath Coln Dies Today

Retired Marmaduke Farmer Succumbs at St. Louis Hospital

Thomas Theodore Coln, aged 84, of Kennett, died this morning at a St. Louis hospital following an illness due to influenza and complications. He was a native of Corinth, MS., but moved to the Marmaduke section at the age of 10 and resided there until 1936, when he moved to Kennett to make his home with his son, I.C. Coln. He was a retired farmer.

The body will arrive here tomorrow and will be taken to the home of his son, Chief of Police Nath Coln and Mrs. Coln, 624 North Second Street. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Surviving are two sons, Nath Coln of Paragould and I.C. Coln of Kennett; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren

Phillip Samuel Morrow

Phillip Samuel Morrow Dies at His Home


Phillip Samuel Morrow, aged 84, died at 8:30 last evening at his home, 801 North Fourth street, following an illness due to heart disease. He was a native of Greene County and was a retired farmer. He moved to Paragould in 1924 from Beech Grove, route one.
Funeral services will be conducted at one tomorrow afternoon from the Church of Christ and burial will be made in the Center Hill Cemetery. Austin Tabor, Church of Christ minister, will officiate. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Parthenia Morrow; two daughters, Mrs. Mae Ward of Paragould and Mrs. James Bailey of route two; three sons, Circuit Court Clerk Marcus A. Morrow of Paragould, Thomas Morrow of Fayetteville and Bailey Morrow of route two; a sister, Mrs. Dan Futrell of Pocahontas; two brothers, James B. and David F. Morrow, both of Beech Grove, route one; 20 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
