G.W. Dale

 

A Tribute published in the pages of "The Daily Press, Paragould, AR,

April 13, 1960.

G.W Dale, 87, died at 4:30 a.m. today at Community Hospital.

A native of Arkansas, Mr Dale came to Green County some 50 years ago and until his retirement farmed in the western part of the county.  More recently he made his home at 321 West Poplar. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church

Survivors include two sons, Dan Dale, Paragould, and Melvin Dale, San Antonio, Texas; oone step-son, Cleo Dearing, Paragould; six daughters, Mrs Ethel Mothershed and Mrs Tom Lenderman, both of Paragould; Mrs Mary Ellen Adams, Lake City, Mrs Willard Johnson, Light, Mrs  Laren Staten, Jonesboro, and Mrs Floyd Harris, Shafter, Calif.; one step-daughter, Mrs Edith Childers, Paragould; 25 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and one brother, Burge Dale, Russellville, Ark.

Friends may call at the Health Funeral Home.  Rev O.D. Winfrey will conduct services at Warren's Chapel Church at a time to be announced.

Frank Highfill

Frank Highfill 76, Parma, MO, a native and long term resident oof Greene County, Ark died early today at his home. He was a Baptist and was a retiredfarmer and ginner. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Rhea Highfill, a brother Herbert H. Highfill of Memphis, Tennessee and a sister Mrs. J. A. Edwards of Paragould, Ark.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p. m. in the 1st Methodist Church in Kennett, MO. Burial will be in the Linwood Cemetery in Paragould, Ark.

Mrs. Susan Sula Coley



Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Sula Coley were held this afternoon at Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Ralph Hillis Officiating and Burial was in Linwood cemetery.

Mrs. Coley, 86 (1874) died Saturday morning at Community Hospital. She was a native of Greene COunty and wife of the late Robert A. Coley. Surviving are four sons, Raymond and J. O. Paragould; Robert, Brinkley; and Webster, Sarasota, Fla. Two sisters, Mrs. C. V. LLoyd, Paragould; and Mrs. Naomi Fortenbury, Belleville, Ill; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
