William E. Boyd

William Ernest Boyd, age 72, passed away Sunday, April 20, 1980 at Flint Osteopathic Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Zelley Funeral Home, with Rev. James D. Lougheed officiating. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

Mr. Boyd was born in Finch, Arkansas, March 8, 1908. He worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad until 1954 when he came to Flint where he was employed by Fisher Body Turnsted Division, retiring in 1974 after 20 years.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Joyce (Jeff) Dunavin of  Crown Point, IN., Mrs. Lois (Jim) Bugg of Davison, Mrs. Edna Louise Nelson of Flint, stepson Edward (Phyllis) Wilkinson of Delaplain, AR., brother, Tom (Margaret) Boyd of Yucca Valley, CA., two sisters, Mrs. Rayanna Schmuecker of Bethal, CT., Mrs. Sunshine Duba of Arlington VA., and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death in 1971 by his wife Lucille.
