County Courthouses in Arkansas

NOTE: Many counties suffered the loss of their courthouses from fire or other catastrophe. If some of the early records were saved (incomplete records) I have put an "S" and if early tax records are available and were saved I have put a "T". I have assumed if the county was not listed as having incomplete records, that they have complete records for that county at their archives.

Example - in Ashley County - the courthouse was destroyed or heavily damaged in 1921. Some partial records and items exist before then and there are some early tax records available.

This list was transcribed and submitted by: Carol Smith - Ouachita County Coordinator
