Am trying to find the parents of Joseph Matthews ,b ca 1817-1818 in Tennessee and is alive in 1868 in Lawrence County but is dead in 1878. Believe he married ca 1843 to Malinda Bratcher in Grundy or Warren County, but no marriage proof has been found in 20+ years. Were his parents John and Morning Matthews who are found in Lawrence County in Black Rock with their son Thomas on the 1860 Census? Joseph and Malinda have a daughter named Morning E. Matthews...unusual name. Is anyone searching this line? Is there a will or some other means of linking Joseph with his parents? Sure would appreciate help.
