POWELL

My great grandfather Griffin POWELL joined a dozen other young men from Houston/Pulaski County Georgia in 1881 and went to Lee County, Arkansas. A letter from a Council Bend states they were doing find in the Bottom. Can anyone shed in light on why these men chose to go to Lee County?

I am looking for info on my grandparent and ggrandparents. My grandmother Ethel Virginia WHEELER's family was from the Fleener township. She married Moody Nelson and they lived in Moro for awhile. My mother Viola Marie Nelson was born in Moro on June 29, 1925. Ethel Virginia Wheeler's parents were William Robert Wheller who married Rosey Lee Redding. Moody Nelson's parents were Rufus Samual Nelson who married Mary Talbort.

My uncle, Byrd ASHBURN b. 1914 d. Jul 1977.  At the time of his death he was living at Marianna, Lee CO, AR.  Can anyone look-up his obituary.  Trying to find his children.  Have hit that brick wall on my ASHBURN line.  Was hoping his children could feel me in on this family.  Any information will be greatly appreciated.

CRUTCHER

Need cemetery info. on surname CRUTCHER, male, don't know first name, died in 1925.  Supposed to be buried in Moro, Lee County, AR but I don't know which cemetery and out of the four that I've found listed online, none of them has a listing of people buried. 
I need to know his full name and date born if possible.  Any other information would be a bonus.  Thank you for your help!

In researching the HENLEY and CROSS surnames in Lee Co. I find on the census' a Fleener (Fleenor) township. Can someone tell me exactly where or was Fleener township?

I am looking for any infromation on Francis M. COX and Margaret F. Rose COX of Lee County both are buried in Hopewell Cemetery and lived in Lee County for over 40 years.  Please let me know if there is any information.  Thanks.

Clarence, son, age 15, born AR
Lottie, daughter, age 12, born AR
Onis, son, age 10, born AR
John H. ,son, age 8, born AR
Richard, son, age 6, born AR
William, son, age 4 4/12, born AR
Hubert and Hebert, twin sons, age 4 mo.?, born AR
This family was also found in the 1920 census of AR, Pike Co., Antoine township.
Father: was Samuel Huston COOK, born MO
Any information regarding this family will be greatly appreciated.

The 1880 census has Richard H. Reed in Bear Creek, Lee Co. AR. His wife is Nancy Ellen Reed and the children are Sidney Jane (b.1858), Travis T.(b1861), Sarah A. (b. 1863), and John H. (B. 1866). aLL were born in IN.

Would like information on Thomas "Tom" BONNER family.  Tom died due to burns suffered in an accident at his home.  He live out near La Grange.
I deer hunted with him several years ago near the ridge.  He showed me a marked that had to do with the La. purchase. 
I would like to know if any of his relatives would know where that marker was.

John T. and Oliver H. OATES were residence of Monroe County Arkansas, and I am interested to know if any of their five siblings are in Lee County. William C., Wyatt C., Harry  H. Are in Lee County, harry H., served first in Co. H 1st Conf. Cav then Co. L 4th Ala Cav.( Roddey's Cav)
James C. and David C., not sure where they served. William C and Wyatt C. served in Arkansas Infantry  Regiments.  William in Co. C 2nd Ark Inf. and Wyatt in Co. H Crockett's Rifles 1st Ark Inf. Oliver in Co. A 25th Inf. Sam maybe buried in Alabama, he was assassinated after winning a seat in the Alabama General Assembly.
