Casteel Cemetery

Dansby, Arkansas

Location:  Take Hwy 131 east from Haynes and where the state highway ends (this is where the pavement ends) there is a dirt road to the right.  If you don’t have a four wheel drive vehicle, you will have to walk.  Go about a mile and the road veers to the left.  You can’t continue straight.  Go about ¼ of a mile and the cemetery is on the right. There is a metal fence around one grave.  Most of the tombstones in this cemetery have been stolen.

Nancy Apple and Pat Audirsch surveyed this cemetery in January 2006.  They may go back to see if they can find anymore stones that have been buried like some of the others they found.  On January 24, 2006, Pat also submitted photos, and they have been added below.  If you have any further information about this cemetery, please contact me.

If you know of anyone else buried here, and would like to add their name, please contact me.  I can also create a link for you to any of these names if you find someone that belongs to your family.  The information presented is as correct as possible, however you may want to verify its accurateness.
