Lee County, Arkansas Cemeteries

Prospect Cemetery

Moro, Arkansas

Location:  Take Hwy 238 West out of Moro about 2 miles on the right, turn onto Hwy 259.  Turn right onto a field road about a mile down.

The cemetery is about ½ mile down by the edge of the woods.  There is a “Prospect Cemetery” arch at the entrance.  There aren’t many stones, although the grounds are rather large.  There are sunken places and broken stones that indicate additional graves.  The cemetery is well maintained.

I transcribed it on September 11, 2005 with the help of my mother, Martha, and my niece, Emily.   Wanda Ridge sent some additions from the 1976 Arkansas Family Historian and from her personal files on June 26, 2006.

If you know of anyone else buried here, and would like to add their name, please contact me.  I can also create a link for you to any of these names if you find someone that belongs to your family.  The information presented is as correct as possible, however you may want to verify its accurateness.
