Submitted by: Susan Fahnstrom

Mary Brehm is the granddaughter of Sarah Eizabeth Harris, a sister of John Henry Harris, 1881 - 1916, she married George W Sisemore. they had children, Lola Sisemore was one of these children, born 1910, she married William Cormack she is 89 years old and still living with her daughter, Mary (Cormack) Brehm in Chicago, Mary married Joseph Brehm.

Mary said her mother said she still remembers John Henry Harris, Paul's grandfather.  Lola and her brother are the only two surviving children of Sarah Elizabeth (Harris) Sisemore, she never got to see the Harris side of the family very much, since her mother Sarah Elizabeth died of complications after child birth, when Lola was barely 6 years old. Her father George Sisemore remarried the next year and they all moved to Webb City, then Oak Bend, Grand Prairie, Charleston, Arkansas.

Lola remembers John Henry Harris  coming to visit them at Grand Prairie as a child, Lola had long black hair down to her waist, she said he always commented that she had the "blackest hair" Lola still remembers seeing John Henry visit, she said she was about 16 years old the last time that she saw him, Lola said he was tall and slender and she always remembers that he had lots of children.

Lola remembers visiting her Grandmother, her mother's mother, Mahala (Upton) Harris, she was also the mother of John Henry, her grandmother was bedridden then at the time and to get to her house they had to walk across a swinging bridge (over a creek) and then climb a very steep hill, Lola was about 6  or 7 years old and she was "petrified" while crossing the swinging bridge, because the boards were not close together
and you could see through them and she didn't like heights.
