Transcription of the Wildcat Cemetery on Jimmie's Creek

Marion Co, AR

A tremendous thanks to Roger Lehman for sharing this with us.

 (c) Roger Lehman 2000

This is a transcription of the Wildcat Cemetery on Jimmie's Creek as it was before it was moved to the Fairview Cemetery which is four miles north of Flippin Arkansas on State Highway # 178. The copy that we have worked from was obtained by the late Burl Mitchell of Flippin, Arkansas. While we have tried to be as careful as possible, it is a sure bet that there are errors in this transcription, should you like to check it against the copy that I have worked from, I will be glad to send you a copy. I committed a major transcriber's transgression by putting in names in the places that stated "same as #" as I did not know how the pages might come out, and I did not want to have to go back a page to find information. This should be a searchable list using the find function of your word processing program. The original notes are found on page 12. Roger Lehman

This note is included: " The foregoing is the way the U. S. Engineers numbered the graves in the Old Wildcat Cemetery before moving same from it's Jimmies Creek location to its present location on State Highway # 178 at Fairview Community four (4) Miles North of Flippin, Ark. This copy retyped from the original January 10th, 1960 by C. R. Morgan"
