The lands and lots and parts of lots returned delinquent in Marion county, for the year 1885, together with the taxes and penalty charged thereon, agreeable to law, are contained in the following list, viz:

Sec=Secton; TS=Township; Rg=Range (Names listed in the same order as in the paper)

Mysty (MCAR Genealogy Society) sent this helpful information:

Wandering thru the new 1885 Delinquent Tax List, I noticed the items in ( ). Took me a while to figure them out in the assessment books, but I can translate them for you (mostly).
SWR means South side/bank of White River.
RBLNF means Right Bank of Little North Fork river.
NWR means North side/bank of White River (this would be over in the Oakland area).
BRB has me stumped. It's up in Cedar Creek Township. Might be the Right Branch of a large Branch off of White River.

(And in addition to the above tax and penalty a cost of 30 cents on each of the above and foregoing tracts is added herewith) and notice is hereby given that said several tracts, lots or parts of lots or as much thereof as may be necessary to pay the taxes, penalty and cost due thereon, will be sold at the Court House, in said county, on the Second (2nd) Monday of April next, unless the said taxes, penalty and cost be paid before that time, and that the sale will be continued from day to day until the said lots and parts of lots be sold. March 13th, 1886, Neal Dood, Clerk of Marion County, Ark.
