The Baxter Bulletin, June 10, 1996 Issue: Fred SMITH, 78, of Mountain Home. Fred SMITH, 78, of Mountain Home died Friday (June 7, 1996) at Baxter County Regional Hospital. He was a retired transformer repairman with 28 years of service at Arkansas Power and Light. Born Dec. 16, 1917 at Peel, he was the son of Barton and Belle MCCRACKEN SMITH. He lived in Baxter and Marion counties most of his life. He was baptized into the Christian Church and was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie MELTON SMITH; two step-daughters, Linda COCHRAN and Brenda WEDGEWORTH, both of Mountain Home; one son, James Fred SMITH Jr. of Mountain Home; two step-sons; Clois SWITZER and Darrell WICKERSHAM, both of Mountain Home; one sister, Arkie HAWKINS of Midway; one brother, George SMITH of Midway; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and six brothers. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Burns Funeral Home Chapel in Yellville. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Yellville. Pallbearers will be Brad SWITZER, D. G. WICKERSHAM II, Buddy WALKER, Phillip HONEY, Ronnie SMITH, Bobby SMITH and David MAYCUNICH.

Memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at Yellville United Methodist Church with Rev. Frank Cook officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Yellville. He was born April 30, 1934, at Winfield, Kans., a son of Richard B. and Alta M. FLAGER ARNALL. He was a material coordinator in the oil fields, a member of the Yellville Lions Club, VFW and American Legion Post No. 52 of Mountain Home and had moved from Southeast Asia to Marion County 10 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Audrey Michele LEE ARNALL of Yellville; two daughters, Carol Ann ARNALL and Sharon Kay ARNALL, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; a son Curtis Ian ARNALL of Yellville and a sister, Carol Jean ARNALL of Great Bend, Kan. Mr. HOLLAND was born Dec. 31, 1964, in Helena to Edgar Karus HOLLAND, Sr. and Francis KERR DIEKHANS HOLLAND. A timber logger, he had lived in Marion County 17 years. He was a member of the Church of the Rock in Yellville. He is survived by his wife, Carmen HOLLAND of Yellville; a daughter, Alana HOLLAND of Yellville; a son, Dillon Karus HOLLAND of Yellville; his mother, Francis HOLLAND of Yellville; two sisters, Diana K. ESTES of Yellville and Alice DIEHL of El Dorado; and a brother, Eddie MASON of Blytheville. He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl HOLLAND. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Burns Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Terry Duffy officiating. He was preceded in death by his parents Homer and Arkie LEE HODGE. Mr. HODGE was born May 23, 1948 at Lead Hill. He resided in Arkansas his entire life, living in Marion and Boone counties. He was a cable splicer for Klassmayer Company of Conway.

Mrs. KEPHART was born Aug. 18, 1924, at Fredonia, Kan., to William and Ida O'BRIEN LAMB. She married to Wallace KEPHART. She was a retired registered nurse moved to Marion County from West Corvina, Calif., 19 years ago. She was a member of the Yellville United Methodist Church and the Christian Women's Organization. Mrs. KEPHART is survived by her husband, at home; a sister, Patricia COUCH of Flippin; and a brother, Philip LAMB of Fredonia, Kan. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Yellville Methodist Church with the Rev. Frank Cook officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. The Mountain Echo, September 5, 1996 Issue: Wallace KEPHART 76, Yellville. Wallace KEPHART, age 76, of Yellville, died Sept. 1, 1996 at the Baxter County Regional Hospital. Mr. KEPHART was born June 24, 1920 in Watson, Mo. to William and Flora (TAYLOR) KEPHART. He served as a bomber pilot for the U.S. Air Force during World War II from 1942 to 1945. He was united in marriage to Martha Ann LAMB on October 6, 1946 and resided in West Covina, Calif. until they moved to Yellville 19 years ago. He was a member of the Yellville United Methodist Church. Survivors include his brother, Ernest KEPHART of Fairfax, Mo.; his sisters, Edith FERGUSON of Port Orchard, Wash. and Mary HALE of Portland, Ore.; his brother-in-law, Philip of Fredonia, Kan.; his sister-in-law, Patricia COUCH and her husband, Earl of Flippin and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mr. KEPHART was preceeded in death by his wife, Martha; his parents; three brothers, Wayne, Cecil and Guy; three sisters, Ethel STUDY, Hallie SCOTT and Effie MANESS. Services were held at the Yellville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Frank Cook officiating. Burial was at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. A lifetime resident of Marion County, Mr. HALL was born June 27, 1920, in Rea Valley to Tom and Martha TILLEY HALL. Mr. HALL was a farmer and a veteran of World War II. He belonged to the Assembly of God Church. He is survived by his wife, Lorene, at home; two daughters, Louise ATKINS of Yellville and Janice HANDY of Lavaca; two sons, James HALL and Doyle HALL, both of Yellville; two brothers, Alfred HALL and Everett HALL; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. Mr. HUDSPETH was born May 1, 1922, in Yellville to George M. and Inez KEETER HUDSPETH. He was a retired carpenter and moved to Marion County 10 years ago from Sun Valley, Calif. He attended the Yellville Assembly of God Church. Mr. HUDSPETH was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps. He flew 39 missions over enemy territory and earned the Distinguished Flying Cross as a gunner on a B-29 bomber. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today. The Rev. Talmai Sutterfield will officiate at the 10 a.m. service Saturday at Burns Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be G. D. Mr. BURROW was born Nov. 14, 1901 in Yellville to Frank and Alice (BOWERS) BURROW, and he was the owner/operator of the Burrow Grocery Store. On May 8, 1927 he was united in marriage with Ola FAULKENBERRY. He was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church and a life long resident of Marion County. Survivors include his wife, Ola of Yellville; his daughters, Mrs. Sue CUNNINGHAM and Mrs. Shirley HALL, both of Yellville; his brothers, Walter BURROW of Yellville and Graden BURROW of Yakima, Wash.; his grandchildren, Jerry CUNNINGHAM of Yellville and Tim HALL of Benton and four great grandchildren. Mr. BURROW was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, and four brothers. Services were held at the Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church with Bro. Tim Cypert and Rev. Donna Alberts officiating. She was a housewife and a lifelong Marion County resident. She was preceded in death by her husband and both parents. Survivors are a daughter, Linda Carol FLETCHER at Littleton, Colo.; three sons, Billy Clyde LAYTON of Yellville, Bobby Lee LAYTON of Yellville and Russell Dale LAYTON of Alpena; two sisters, Ruby COX of Ozark, and Dorothy STEWART of Irvine, Calif.; one brother, Arvil Lee KYLES of Tulsa, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Burns Funeral Home Chapel with John Dillard officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers are Tommy Lee LAYTON, Kirk D. She married Ernie H. GENTRY Sept. 22, 1927, at Mountain Home. She is survived by one sister, Inez MCKEOWN of Santa Anna, Calif. and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents and her husband, Ernie GENTRY, in September 1981. She was a member of the College and North Church of Christ and Order of the Eastern Star, Mountain Home Chapter. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mrs. JENKINS died Sunday (Sept. 14) at Twin Lakes Nursing Center. She was 87. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kirby Funeral Home. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at Yellville. A resident of Flippin since 1919, Mrs. JENKINS moved there from Reed, Okla. She was born May 8, 1910, at Reed, a daughter of the late C. W. and Ora GARNER DEEN. A housewife, she and the late Aaron JAMES were married Sept. 19, 1928, in Marion County. Mr. JENKINS was a Protestant. She is survived by two sons, Don R. JAMES of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Glen D. JAMES of Hiawatha, Iowa; two daughters, Katherene SEAWRIGHT of Alice, Texas, and Jannalee PROCTOR of Flippin; one brother, Albert DEEN of Show Low, Ariz.; a sister Nahoma SINCLAIR of Porteles, N.M.; 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, two brothers and one daughter. Kirby and Family and the U. S. Mr. TURNQUIST was born April 20, 1920 in Omaha, Nebraska to Arthur John and Agnes S. (NIELSON) TURNQUIST. He was a retired real estate manager and had lived in Bull Shoals since 1971 after moving here from O'Fallow, Ill. Had had two years of college and was a veteran. He worked for Food Pantry, the American Legion, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, and the Bull Shoals Senior Citizens. Survivors include his wife, Lois TURNQUIST of Bull Shoals; his daughter, Susan Ellen KREEGER and her husband, John KREEGER of Harrisburg, Missouri; his sister, Marian DIXON and her husband, Jack DIXON of Omaha, Nebraska. A memorial service was held at the Bull Shoals Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Brizzi officiating. The Baxter Bulletin, October 7, 1997 Issue: J. D. HARDEGREE, 89, of Yellville. Yellville-J. D. HARDEGREE of Yellville died Sunday (Oct. 5, 1997) at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, MO. He was 89. Formerly of Texas, he was a resident of Marion County for 35 years. He was a general superintendent in the oil industry. He was a member of Main Street Church of Christ in Yellville and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 36. Born Feb. 10, 1908, at Crews, Texas, he was the son of Robert H. and Victoria RAINWATER HARDEGREE. He and the former Navasota "Pat" CARR were married Feb. 19, 1928. He is survived by his wife; one son, Thomas E. HARDEGREE of Fort Worth, Texas; one brother, A. A. HARDEGREE of Tyler, Texas; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, John Paul HARDEGREE. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Burns Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Terry Duffy officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Vernon SMITH, Donald SMITH, Jimmy SMITH, Russell HENSLEY, Mike HENSLEY and Michael HORTON.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Burns Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ross Sawyer officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery at Yellville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Burns Funeral Home. Mrs. ZIEAMMERMANN was born Aug. 31, 1957, at Denver, a daughter of James Edward and Barbara MAIER WYCKOFF. She worked as an order filler for the Marion County Shirt Company. She had lived in Marion County for four years and was a Seventh Day Adventist. She is survived by her husband, Don ZIEAMMERMANN Jr. of Yellville; tow daughters, Shannon Lenore ZIEAMMERMANN and Christie Ann ZIEAMMERMANN, both of Yellville; one son, Joshua Alan ZIEAMMERMANN of Yellville; her father, James WYCKOFF of Flagstaff, Ariz.; her mother Barbara WYCKOFF of Denver; one sister, Carole Sue GANDY of Morrison, Okla.; two brothers, Scott Edward WYCKOFF of Palisade, Colo. and Leland Ray WYCKOFF of Englewood, Colo. ALLEN of Yellville will be a 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Jerry Strobel and Bro Terry Duffy officiating. Mrs. Allen died Saturday (Jan. 10, 1998) at Baxter County Regional Hospital. She was 83. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Burns Funeral Home at Yellville. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers Honorary pallbearers will be Harold DOSHIER, Tank REA, Lewis MANHART, Fred STROBEL, Dr. Richard AHRENS and Dr. Robert AHRENS. A resident of Marion County for 35 years, Mrs. Allen was formerly of Austin, Texas. She was born July 31, 1914, at Andice, Texas, a daughter of the late Orville A. and Alma R. FAUGHT WALTON. She was a housewife. She was a member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church of Andice, Texas. She is survived by a son, Billy L. MCCORMICK of Mount Clemens, Mich.; two daughters, Margaret BRADLEY and Dorothy ANDERSON, both of Yellville; two sisters, Annie Laurie JENNET and Ruth Margarette JACKSON, both of Austin; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

CARROLL, PASTHING, WEBB, WILLIAMS Death Date Sunday, January 11, 1998
The Baxter Bulletin, January 14, 1998 Issue: James C. WILLIAMS, 92, of Marion County. Yellville-Services for James C. WILLIAMS of Marion County will be at 10 a.m. today at Burns Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Cypert officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery. Mr. WILLIAMS died Sunday (Jan. 11, 1998) at Yellville. He was 92. He was born Nov. 13, 1905, at Ethridge, Tenn. To Levander Perry and Mary Jane CARROLL WILLIAMS. He was formerly a custodian and had lived in Marion County for 76 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Yellville. He is survived by one stepdaughter, Alfreda PASTHING of Yellville; one sister, Eva WEBB of Massillon, Ohio; two stepgrandchildren, Gina and Sam PASTHING, both of Yellville, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the Marion County Van Fund. Arrangements are by Burns Funeral Home.
