The Mountaineer, Flippin, Arkansas, August 2, 2001 Issue: Henry Vernon BRADWAY of Yellville. Henry Vernon BRADWAY of Yellville died Wednesday, July 25, 2001 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home. He was 69. Mr. BRADWAY was born December 25, 1931 at Eldon, Illinois to Clifford Leroy and Catherine KERR BRADWAY. On December 25, 1965, he married Diana Mae DILLEY. Formerly of Illinois, Mr. BRADWAY had been a resident of Marion County for the past 21 years. He was employed as a machine operator for a bottle manufacturing company. During the Korean Conflict War, he served in the United States Army. He was a member of the Cotter VFW Post. Survivors include his wife, Diana Mae BRADWAY of Yellville; two sons, Daniel JOHNSON of Louisville, Texas and David JOHNSON and wife, Lora, of Montgomery, Illinois; three daughters, Kathy ROBINETTE of Charleston, Illinois, Deborah HUBICH of Lincoln, Illinois and Lynette BLACKWOOD of Joplin, Missouri; four sisters, Blanche HOELSCHER, Betty LINDIG, Alice BURTON and Barbara BEELER all of Illinois; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. His parents, Clifford Leroy and Catherine KERR BRADWAY, three brothers, and one sister preceded him in death. Visitation was held Friday, July 27, 2001 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 28, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home with Pastor David Butler officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Yellville. Pallbearers were Mark SCHAEUFELE, Al SMITH, Lynn LASLEY. Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Association, % Fred Burrow, 4724 Hwy. 14 South, Yellville, AR 72687. The Mountaineer Echo, Flippin, Arkansas October 11, 2001 issue: Keith HAMLET of Yellville. Keith HAMLET of the Cowan Barrens and Weast City Community in Yellville, Arkansas died Monday, October 8, 2001 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He was 88. Mr. HAMLET was born June 25, 1913 at Hindsville, Arkansas to Worth and Minnie GILLIAM HAMLET. On September 4, 1934, he married Demoia KEETER. Mr. HAMLET was a farmer and beef cattle producer. He was a life-long resident of Marion County. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Yellville and an active worker and member of the Marion County Senior Center in Flippin. Survivors include his wife, Demoia KEETER HAMLET of Yellville; one son, Larry HAMLET, of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter, Avanell THOMAS and husband Ronald of Belleville, Illinois; two in-laws, Douglas HAMLET of Yellville and Wiladean BEAKLEY of Festus, Missouri; five grandchildren, Brian THOMAS, Kristin LUCASH, Scott HAMLET, Leslie "Les" HAMLET and Richard "Rich" HAMLET; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. His parents, Worth and Minnie HAMLET, three brothers and seven sisters preceded him in death. Visitation was held Wednesday, October 10, 2001 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville. Funeral services will be Thursday, October 11, 2001 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Yellville with Reverend Tim Cypert officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Yellville. Pallbearers are Jack TATE, Dale HAMLET, Dan HENLEY, Jimmy HAMLET, Ronald THOMAS, and John TATE. Honorary pallbearers are Harry KETNER, H.C. HALL, Don LAYTON, Billy LAYTON, Roland BLOMQUIST, Jim SHETTLES, Dr. Robert AHRENS and Jim EPLING. The Baxter Bulletin, November 3, 2001, Issue: Yellville--A funeral for Lawrence Edward WHITE Jr., 55, of Yellville will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Burns Funeral Home Chapel with Tom Bryant officiating. Mr. WHITE died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at his home. He was born Oct. 3, 1946, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Nita HANSEN WHITE and the late Lawrence WHITE. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving 1968-1970. He earned a Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal and Bronze Star. He married Annie ROSENBAUM on June 4, 1988. He retired as a heavy equipment operator for the Falls County (Texas) Road and Bridge Department. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5742, American Legion, Purple Heart Recipient Organization and Cooties. He was a Marion County constable for Jefferson Township. He was a former member of Ralph-Caney Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Annie WHITE of Yellville; his daughters, Ashley FREEMAN, Alisha WHITE and Angelina WHITE, all of Yellville, and Melissa GARIBAY and Patricia CHADDIC of Mart, Texas; his mother and stepfather, Nita and Ray ROBINSON of Yellville; his brothers, David WHITE, Robert WHITE and Ray WHITE, all of Yellville; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and a son. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Burns Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with members of the VFW as pallbearers.

The Mountaineer Echo, Flippin, Arkansas May 2, 2002 Issue: Eltis L. CALLAHAN of Yellville. Eltis Lonnie CALLAHAN, 84, of Yellville, Arkansas died Wednesday, April 10, 2002 at Yellville, Arkansas. Mr. CALLAHAN was born August 8, 1917 at Yellville, Arkansas the son of Lonzo Ernest and Maudie A. CALLAHAN. Mr. CALLAHAN was employed as a construction worker at C&H Sugar Company for 40 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include his son, Don CALLAHAN, of San Leandro, CA; stepdaughter, Sherry STILL of North Little Rock, AR; sister, Alice Katherine OLER of Prescott, AZ; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His parents, Lonzo and Maudie CALLAHAN, and son, Connie Mac CALLAHAN, preceded him in death. Visitation was Sunday, April 14, 2002 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville. Funeral services were held Monday, April 15, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Yellville with Brother Tim Cypert officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Yellville. Pallbearers were Charles BAKER and Terry HUSKY. Odale DAVENPORT served as honorary pallbearer. The Mountaineer Echo, Flippin, Arkansas, April 18, 2002 Issue: Mrs. Donnie MCENTIRE of Yellville, Arkansas died Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR. She was 86. Mrs. MCENTIRE was born December 16, 1915 at Yellville, Arkansas the daughter of Quince and Nora TREAT OTT. On August 14, 1937, she married Onimus MCENTIRE. Mrs. MCENTIRE was a retired cook and a housewife. She was a lifetime resident of Marion County and a member of the Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn MEARS and husband Harold, Katherine KASTNING and husband Junior and Jan BEAVER and husband Shorty all of Yellville, Arkansas; two sisters, Edith JONES of Yellville, Arkansas and Bonnie SMITH of Wichita, Kansas; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and two nieces and three nephews. Her parents, Quince and Nora OTT; husband, Onimus MCENTIRE; three brothers, Herbert OTT, J.B. OTT and Lonnie OTT; one sister, Rosemary OTT; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson, preceded her in death. Visitation will be Friday, April 19, 2002 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home in Yellville. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2002 at the Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church with Brother Tim Cypert and Brother Terry Duffy officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Yellville. Pallbearers are Donald MEARS, Tim BEAVER, Shawn BEAVER, Mike TABLISH, Rick ANDERSON and Doug EDKINS.
