GEORGE & SARAH (SANDERS) JENKINS FAMILY

Dividing Line

George W. Jenkins, son of William C & Mary (Gray) Jenkins was born in Washington County, TN 18 Apr 1854. His parents came to Marion County about 1860. Sarah Jane, daughter of Thomas Lemuel & Margaret Jane "Peggy" (Ralph) Sanders, was born in Marion Co. 14 Nov 1855. George & Sarah were buried in the old Wild Cat Cemetery and later moved to Fairview Cemetery in Flippin when Bull Shoals Lake was formed.

George & Sarah Jenkins had eight children. The oldest child (not pictured) was Laura Alice "Flossie" Jenkins who mar. George Daniel "Dink" Berry. Flossie & Dink's son Earl Berry wrote The History of Marion County.
Second child (not pictured) William Patrick Jenkins b. 9 Jan 1880 in Flippin mar. Josie McGregor 1907 in Flippin.
Third: (not pictured) Ross Turner Jenkins b. 13 Mar 1882 in Flippin (m) Myrtle Record in Marion Co 1910.
