Beech - Annexed from Lafayette County in 1874.
Cleveland - Created between 1880-90 from part of Garland Township.
Cut Off - Annexed from Lafayette County in 1874.
Days Creek - Created between 1880-90 from parts of Beech Creek and Garland Townships.
Homan - Created before 1880.
Lost Prairie - Created between 1880-90.
Red River - Annexed from Lafayette County in 1874.
Sulphur - Annexed from Lafayette County in 1874.
 

Note: When looking for pre-1874 information, the townships of *Beech,
*Cut-Off, *Red River, and *Sulphur, were the pre-existing townships of Miller,
then Lafayette County. These are the townships in Lafayette County Census
that you would look for your pre-1874 Miller County Ancestors.
In some census and census indexes, the township of Beech is spelled Beach.
