It appears now to be a place for weekend retreats clustered near the small bay. My husband and I met a couple out for a walk who told us of a cemetery they had just visited. They gave us directions and said it had only one tombstone. We were lucky to find this cemetery in the woods. You would have never guessed it to be a cemetery with fallen trees and debris everywhere. We located 3 stones. I do not know the proper name for this cemetery. ********************************************************************* In memory of C. C. Clark born Nov 17, 1832 died Feb 19, 1885 (on back of stone) My own my all farewell Thy spirit smileth with me in my slumbers Thy voice steals for me With its gladsom numbers As oft and magic spell and though the clay my own sad soul encumbers With thee it yet may dwell CLARK (just the single surname on the stone, no dates) In loving memory of my dear wife Aged 25 years Emma Pratt Baldwin
