Hello, I am compiling a list of all known standing theater buildings in the US. Could you all search Monroe County and tell me if there are any pre-1950 theater buildings still standing. The name, former names, date built, architect if known, the number of seats and the present use and condition is the information that I am looking for. When the list is finished it will be displayed by state at http://www.musicfortsmith.org Thanks in advance for your time and trouble, Joe

Could anyone tell me which of the six cemeteries in Holly Grove, if any, are/were burial places for blacks/African Americans? Am researching the black/mulatto BOBO, MOONEY, possibly MAYO families who moved from Coahoma Co, MS, after the Civil War, and stayed in Holly Grove until after 1910. Tracing black ancestry is very difficult as you know. Thanks Marge Wilcox

I am searching for the parents of these DUKES children: Missouri, Clarse (Clarise?), Manda, Jane, Harriet, Martha, and Ransom. I would like to know who the parents are as it will assist in my search for the parents of Nancy DUKES who was married to Wm. HUFF, Sr. in Monroe County in 1830. There is an uncle, Alexander Reese, and his daughter Betty in Monroe County in 1867. Wm. HUFF, Jr. and Betty are sisters children. I know this from an 1867 letter. Can you help me piece this together?

I am looking for any information on the WHITE line. My ancestor John T. WHITE was m. to Eliza Catherine ASH in Miller Co., Missouri. Most of their children were also born there. But, they had a son named Arch D. WHITE b. 1872 in Benton Co., Arkansas. He must have moved to Clarendon, MONROE Co., Arkansas because that is where his mother Eliza Catherine ASH WHITE died on 18 Oct. 1928. If anyone has any info. on this family and is willing to share with me please contact me at sonic@inet-1.com. I'm more than willing to share what information I have also. Thanks! Susan Richards
