I think that she was born 1900, I believe somewhere in Oklahoma.. I have been told that she was Indian. That her mother and father were both Indians, from different tribes... I don't know what the tribs were/are. Cora/Corine had a brother, Benjamin STEVENS or STEVENSON. Benjamin grew up around Helena, AR. Benjamin had a son by the name of Benjamin STEVENS, Jr. and a daughter, Lucy STEVENS/STEVENSON. Cora was married to Henry COKES, and they had three children, George COKES, nickname was "Sam". He is the youngest child... James COKES, who is the oldest brother who later married Willie B. FLUCKER.... The only girl was my grandmother, Katie Cokes BANKS. Cora died in Buffalo, NY of TB at the age of 40. She left her husband with the three children and ran away with her cousin, "Addie" from Memphis, TX Henry COKES died in Oct. 1942 at the age of 62, he died in Monroe County, Holly Grove, AR. GORDON, HALL, HOBBS, ODOM, YOUNG posted by Joann (Gordon) Hawkins on Saturday, October 28, 2000: Looking for any info on Mildred YOUNG, could have last name HALL. Lived around Brinkley Ar. Her fathers name was James Chester YOUNG. Nick J.C. She could have also lived around Hunter and Hillman. She had 2 daughters, Lillie Mae HALL and Lois Virginia HOBBS who died giving birth in 1951. Mildreds brother name was Pete YOUNG, a sister Helen ODOM. Mildred died when daughters were very young. Her death is a mystery and I would like to know anything any one knows or remembers. Lillie Mae married Jack GORDON of Brinkley. She never knew anything about her and I would like to find any info to pass down to my children. Any Info No Matter What Is Welcomed.

LITTON, STYLES posted by Kathy Styles on Friday, November 17, 2000: My grandad was Chester E. STYLES - brother to Helen and Clarence. I was told that that Helen was a step-sister to Chester and Clarence and that their mother's name was also Helen and that she remarried to a LITTON (sp?). I was also told that both mother and father were from Monroe Co. mainly the town of Clarendon.

He married a Mary Ann RIDEOUT KING sometime after 1870 and before 1880 in Prairie Co., AR. I think it is possible that Ben MURPHY was married previously.
