I am the eldest son of Hubert Riner JOHNSON. I am compiling a comprehensive document about my father and am searching for information about him and his family ... G. W. and Voila Gertrude (Riner) Johnson were his parents. My father died when I was 5 and we moved away from Holly Grove shortly thereafter so I have few memories of my own. Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking for information on four brothers, Colonel John T. OATES buried at Confederate Rest Cemetery Helena Arkansas, his brother Captain Oliver Hilliard OATES is also said to be buried there. Wyatt C. Co. H 1st Ark, and William C. Co. C 2nd Ark., William died July 1864. Which battle did the 2nd Arkansas take part in at that date. Now if John and Oliver with the Monroe County Homeguard, how did they end up in Phillips County. Oliver became Captain of Company A 25th Arkansas Infantry. Wyatt C. and William C. are the other two of these brothers. Wyatt was in Co. H 1st Ark Inf. and William in Co. C 2nd Ark Inf. were these units formed from Phillips County, if so where are these soldiers buried.

I am seeking information on the Jacob McBRIDE and Susan KITTS McBRIDE family. Susan KITTS father was John KITTS. I am wondering who Jacob McBRIDE's family was. He was born in Arkansas about 1822. There is a Delilah McBRIDE who is on the 1840, 1850, and 1860 census. There is also a John McBRIDE who is on the 1830 census. I am wondering if John McBRIDE and Delilah McBRIDE were the parents of Jacob McBRIDE. Jacob McBRIDE died in 1850 after the census. I am wondering if the McBRIDES who are on the census page are kin to Jacob, and Delilah is on the next page. Does anyone have any knowledge about Delilah McBRIDE, and what her maiden name was?
