Breashears Cemetery, Story, Montgomery County, Arkansas

Located 1.25 miles east of Story, turn just pass the church. Easy to find look for the cemetery sign. On Red Ridge Road (gravel county road) in a field, a quarter mile off of Hwy 298,  The photos were taken 10th June 2020 soon after Decoration Day, as the cemetery was colorful and grass mowed. Many of the military headstones were marked by small US flags. This is not a transcription but a photo study of few of the colorful headstones with a focus on the military headstones. Some of these military headstones are flat on the ground and may disappear with time from begin covered with weeds and soil.  The cemetery is well maintained, fenced, with a bench under the shade of an old tree.

The cemetery has been transcribed at least three times.  Once online in 2008 listing 139 names and 93% photographed. The 1986 cemetery book recorded 117 names.  Only 33 family names and the majority of the headstones representing eight families.
