Relocated to Brooks Cemetery, Garland, Co. AR.
The building of the Blakely Dam Reservoir in the 1950s in the Ouachita River basin affected two communities settled by blacks, Little Georgia and Cedar Brake. The families sold out and moved east of Crystal Springs to Flat Woods. The cemeteries were moved to Brooks Cemetery. Brooks is located just before you get to the Buckville Cemetery and Church. In 1968 only one readable marker was located in Brooks Cemetery, that of Ely Bledsoe on a slate stone and it did not have dates. As of today it is not accessible by car, you have to walk in and has not been cleaned in at least 15 years. Little Georgia was located straight across the river from Housely Point and west of Buckville and had a very old cemetery with at least 100 graves with few marked with stone and rock slabs. When the county line changed in 1917 the school house "Little Georgia" (Colored) District 63 ended up 300 to 400 yards inside Garland Co. So a new school district was created for those who where in Montgomery Co. Haley's School (Colored) District 15.
Cedar Brake Cemetery was located, sec. 36, T2S, R21W, 1½ miles west of Cedar Glades.
