Scott Cemetery is an abandoned cemetery located on a knoll on private property 1/8 mile off Owley Road, south of the road. Take Highway 27 to Owley Road and travel approximately 1.8 mile and look in the distance for a hill.  After you go through a pasture there is a road that goes right up and past cemetery.  The  cemetery has been recently mowed. There is a rock fence around the cemetery and it is approximately one quarter acre to one half acre in size.

Information below transcribed 16 May 2002 by Allen Dewitt Scott and his brother Darrell Scott during a visit to the cemetery.  Only five headstones were found with data.  Their grandfather, Elder William A Scott, is buried here.  All they saw, besides these five, were just rocks.  Allan saw no stones that were unreadable or destroyed.  Most of the graves that were marked were marked with rocks.

"Undoubtedly there were many cemeteries in the early days of Montgomery County but most were probably situated on private property and used as family plots."
