The above photograph is courtesy of Beverly Reed.  The photograph came from a box of pictures that once belonged to her grandmother, Sarah Ann Stroud Southard.  Names of students can be found on page 1054 'Montgomery County: Our Heritage. Vol. 2.  The Montgomery County News Aug. 19, 1999 ran an article on the Mount Ida and Story schools, included a photograph similar to the one above, an interview with Earl Emery and the Emery, Qualls, Reed family connections with Montgomery County.
