COMMUNITIES AND LANDMARKS OF NEVADA COUNTY
Prepared by Jerry McKelvy

This list of places in Nevada County was taken from maps I have of Nevada County dated 1865, 1895, 1901, 1948, and 1999. The 1865 map does not cover all of Nevada County. It is a Ouachita County map, but a large part of what is now Nevada County was in Ouachita County until 1871. The 1901 map does not cover the extreme southern part of the county.

Other places mentioned are some I have discovered while researching Nevada County or from personal knowledge. The post office information is from a book entitled A Historical Directory of Arkansas Post Offices by Russell Pierce Baker.
