I'm looking form information on my Great Grandfather William Pinkney ELMORE Jr. He was born 19 Aug 1870. He died 11 Dec 1898. He is buried in the Piney Grove Cemetery. Nevada County, Arkansas. His wife was Hattie Eugenia HOOKS. They had three boys. Their names are William Carl Elmore, Homer B. Elmore and Noel Charles Elmore my grandfather. I have a lot of information on the descendants of Andrew Washington BARR, born 1823 in Elbert Co., GA and his brother John M. Barr, also born in GA. Both of these brothers settled in what is now Nevada County between 1847 and 1860. Their parents followed them to this area by 1860. It is highly likely that their sister also settled nearby with her husband, James TUBBS. I have lots of info on this family, but am always looking to trade info with anyone who has any for me. John ended up in the Willisville area, whereas Andrew remained in the Georgia Township area most of his remaining years. Both of these brothers were Confederate veterans. Some of Andrew's descendants ended up in Redland Community by the very early 1900's. I am descended from that bunch. Contact me for info or to give info....I have lots to share.

Looking for a marriage of GROVER to Bertha Elizabeth TULK. Grover was born in Prescott on 10-14-1889, To Calvin D Gulley and Mary Kattie GAINS. Later moving to Guthrie, Oklahoma in the early 1900s. Son of Grover and Bertha was born 9-16-1911 in Prague, Oklahoma. Can't find record of marriage, or death of Bertha, But she died in Guthrie, Oklahoma about 1914 or 1915. When son was 3 yrs old. My name is Roy W. CLARK, the son of Arthur Roy Clark, the son of Arthur W. Clark, the son of Reuben G. Clark who is the son of Pleasant William Clark. Pleasant William died Dec. 20, 1896 and was buried in Clark Cemetery, Nevada County, Arkansas. My search has run into a dead end at P.W. Clark. I have a copy of a photo and he appears to be American Indian. Are there records that would help me find or associate Pleasant William with his paternal lineage? Searching for any information on my maternal gr gr grandmother, Cynthia DAVIS STOKES. On the 1880 census, she was living in Georgia, Nevada, AR, with one daughter, Mary C. Stokes. Cynthia's age was 70, Mary's was 32. On the 1850 census they were in Smackover, Ouachita, AR. Cynthia was married to Holloway Stokes. Cynthia's sister, Katherine Davis Stokes, married to Erwin Stokes. They all lived on the same land at this time in 1850. My gr grandmother's name was Sarah Pernica Stokes SAFFELL, married to Elijah Warren Saffell, she was the daughter of Cynthia Davis Stokes and Holloway Stokes. I am hoping someone can do a lookup for me. My great great grandfather was the pastor at I think the Bluff Springs Church in 1934. If not this church, then one that starts with a B and had two names in it. He died while serving at this church. His name was Harry Lee SIMPSON.
