Civil War Memorial

Three Civil War soldiers are remembered by a monument which is now at
the Prescott Depot Museum.  The marker was first placed at the old
battle site near Prescott.  Vandals were defacing the markers, so it was
decided to move the memorial to its present site for safe keeping.  The
three Civil War soldiers recognized by this memorial are:

Edward H. Bates        died 4-10-1864    27th Wisconsin Infantry
Erasmus D. Lackman    died 4-11-1864   Co. H.-50th Indiana Infantry
William P. Funk            died 4-12-1864   Co. I- 33rd Iowa Infantry
