Woodell Cemetery Woodell Cemetery is an old burial place on the north side of Hwy. 24 about one half mile northwest of the intersection of Hwys 24 and 53. I am calling it the Woodell Cemetery because that is the only name that could be found. There are only a few graves. I was able to find the base of three monuments, but only one inscribed stone. These three monuments appear to have been disturbed. They are just off the highway right-of-way and may have been accidentally disturbed during road construction. A mound of dirt nearby probably marks a grave. The location is almost directly across the highway from the old Albert Redfern house and a field. This record made by Jerry McKelvy February, 1998. Buried here are: Mary F. Woodell wife of A. M. Woodell born 10-19-1852 died 10-9-1876 Also at least two other unknown graves.
