NEILL Family, COX family - Looking for information on John W. Neill who came to Dover, AR in 1881 with family. Have information on several members of the family who married there but cannot find death certificate in Little Rock on John W. Neill B: Aug. 19, 1838 - d: May 5, 1920 or his wife Lockie E. (Ivy) Neill b: Nov. 16, 1848 - d: Jan 3, 1930. They were still living in Dover, AR in 1890's and possibly early 1900's. Would like to know where they died and where they are resting if possible. My husband's grandfather, CLaud C. Neill married Bertha Cox in Arkansas on May 24, 1914. Presumably in Dover or Russellville. Does anyone know the parents of Bertha Cox and where the marriage took place? Bertha and Claud moved to Oklahoma. They had one son together before she died of pneumonia on Feb. 26th 1923. Any information on the above people would be helpful. Brothers of Claud were Dr. John R. Neill, Marcus Ivy Neill, Ella (Neill) Hubbard, Alvis Hale Neill, Oscar Melver Neill, William R. Neill, Earl J. Neill. I can look up information for people at TN state library and archives about once a month and have access to some KY records. Will exchange information on Neill family if anyone interested. Do not know for sure if she is buried at the Goates cem there, if so there is no headstone. There are several spaces without a stone. Their dau mar'd Thos. D Osborne - have two young sons in that cem. They moved to Idaho when the children were small. I was there in 1994. I am looking for detailed information on my grandfather, Clarence Ernest HATLEY born 1894 in Pope County, Arkansas, as well as on my great-great-grandfather, John HATLEY, who is said to have been registered in the 1880 census there with his wife Elizabeth (PERRY) HATLEY and their children Mary (b.1861), William (b.1870) and Littleton Perry HATLEY, my great-grandfather (b.1864 or 1866). I am told that Elizabeth Perry Hatley died on 7 September 1903 in Lost Corner, Pope County, Arkansas. Littleton was married to Sarah Evelyn BARTON and moved to Oklahoma around 1909. Apart from my grandfather, Clarence Ernest, and his brothers and sisters, the earlier family was probably born in North Carolina and moved to Arkansas sometime before 1880. Daughter Martha was born in 1-1-1875 at Dover. The George and Nancy listed in the 1880 census doesn't list a child of Martha. I think there were two George Woodworths in this area. William was married to Rachel ALLISON RYE by the 1860 census where we found them in Sebastian Co., AR. They had a daughter, Charlotte Elvira,born around 1861. It is said that Amy and possibly Thomas may have been buried in Pope Co. Thomas died after the 1830 census and before 1833 for Amy was in Texas sometime in 1833 which allowed her to get land in Texas. She was listed as a widow. I would love to find a small family cemetery in Pope Co. or a surrounding county that might have Boatwright's and Rushings in it. Amy died around 1839. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Elizabeth (he died at Ft. Gibson during the Mexican-American War, she remarried Isaac ROOP); George PARK (also veteran of the Mexican-American conflict) m. Angeline LEONARD; Serelda PARK m. William Shelby PAYNE. No further info on Narcissa, Tabitha or Elijah PARK. The PARK family prior to moving to AR were probably from Maury Co., TN or thereabouts.My ancestor is Lou Ann PARK who m. in 1849 at Johnson Co., AR James A. FRANKLIN. Franklin's, Park's & Paynes all settled for a time in SW MO after 1850 in the counties of McDonald, Greene, Taney and Christian. Also interested in FRANKLIN's and the ASHWORTH family (Benjamin H. ASHWORTH who m. Elizabeth JONES at Pope in 1847. Trying to establish a connection between the Franklin's and Ashworths of this region.

On the 1900 Pope County, Clark Twp. census, Lollie is listed as being born in AR Jan 1875. Her father was born in AL and her mother in VA. Lollie died abt Aug 1900 when her dress caught on fire, I assume this happened in Pope County. She had a two week old baby named Millard Howard MORRISON at the time, and 4 more older children. My records show her being married to Christopher C. PRICE 17 Feb 1897. They had 4 children Laura H., Floy I., Miles C., and Johnnie L. PRICE. According to the 1900 Pope County census, Christopher was 60 years old and Francis (Fannie) was only 24. The 1910 census shows Francis as a widow with 5 children from 5 to 14. Any scrap of information on any of these people will be sincerely appreciated.
