PATRICK HENRY HAYLEY joined Company K of Bell's 37th Arkansas Infantry at Camp Hindman, Arkansas on June 17th, 1862. He had two brothers: Cornelius Newton Hayley, who was in the Des Arc Rangers, Co B, 1st Ark Mounted Rifles, and Francis M. Hayley, who went to war with the men of Johnson Chapel in Co C, 30th Ark Inf. that was to become the 25th Arkansas Infantry in Feb. of 1862. These three brothers had three more brothers that joined the 51st Tennessee Infantry, making a total of 6 sons of Benjamin Hayley who fought in the War between the States.
