MC CRAW CEMETERY
Jacksonville,
PULASKI CO. AR

By David V. Brannon - 6 Feb 1996

MC CRAW CEMETERY, on Hwy. 294, (Military Rd.) across from Loop Mobile Home Park.
Southeast of Jacksonville. Take a dirt lane South which is along side of Military
Rd. Baptist Church to a large Magnolia tree of your left. This old abandoned cemetery
is under that tree and is totally overgrown. It is about 2 miles West of Lonoke Co.
line, located at 34.51.03N-092.05.14W on sheet 18 of the Pulaski Co. Maps. Some
records were found in Arkansas Family Historian, V18-2, June 1980, pg. 139-40. It is
aka Mc Graw Cemetery; I think the names Mc Craw and Mc Graw have been used inter-
	changeably.
This inventory was taken by David V. Brannon on 6 Feb 1996 and then compared with that
found in the above publication. Five markers were found that were not in the earlier
inventory, which is understandable because of the conditions of the grounds. Some
markers in the earlier inventory were not found at this time, which shows the
importance of making an inventory even when one has already been made. Our thanks to
both Carolyn Yancey Little and David V. Brannon for their efforts. We will go back
and try to reconcile any differences found. This was done and the inventory was fixed
to show what we feel as the correct information.
The first known burial was for Elizabeth SANDERS who died 1 Mar 1841. The last known
burial was for Annie M. DIXON who died 27 Aug 1969. There are many unmarked graves
that could predate 1841 or postdate 1969, but no markers were found for them.
