Pulaski County, ARGenWeb
genealogy & history

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting ARGenWeb's Pulaski County, Gina Heffernan is the Temporary County Coordinator. This site is a proud member of ARGenWeb and USGenWeb® and contains a good deal of information, especially mariage records and newspaper items. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Pulaski County was created in 1818 just before Arkansas was declared a US Territory. It was named for Brigadier General Casimir Pulaski, a Polish-born Continental Army officer who was killed in action at the Siege of Savannah during the Revolutionary War. The county seat and state capital is Little Rock. Arkansas's nickname, flag and state capitol allude to the diamonds often found at Crater of Diamonds State Park near Murfreesboro in Pike County in the southeast quadrant of the state.
If you would like to help with this project, we always need help with transcriptions. We have some newspaper clippings that need to be typed. Type it, paste it into an email and send it to me or to the temporary coordinator listed at the bottom of this page.
