The Peter Hiram Shaver family

Peter Hiram Shaver (son of John M. Shaver and Nancy Cook) was born 10 Dec 1829 in Warm Springs, Randolph County, AR. He died 11 Jan 1912, Randolph County AR, and is buried in the Palestine Cemetery. He married Lucinda Jan Waddle (daughter of Henry M. Waddle and Sarah Isabel Bigger) on 23 Nov 1851, Randolph Co, AR. Lucinda was born. June 1833 AR and died about 1912.

In 1810 Peter had 80 acres hill land, of which 60 arcres were in use. He was both a farmer and a minister in the Church of Christ. He and Lucinda had eleven children: Louvenia E Shaver, Mary Jane, Sarah Adeline, America Elizabeth, Nancy, Susan Caroline (see Edwards Family Album), Robert D., William Lee, George Randolph, Alfred Burton.

This is a picture of the Alfred Burton Shaver family. A son of Peter and Lucinda Waddle Shaver, Alfred Burton Shaver was born 7 April 1876, Ingram AR and died 30 June 1953, Stokes AR. He married Martha Jane Fowler, daughter of Hiram and Jane Roach Fowler. She was born 4 February 1879, Ingram AR and died 15 March 1949, Pocahontas, AR. Both are buried in the Palistine Cemetery. Alfred and Martha had eight children: Horace Leeland Shaver b. 9 July 1899; Hardy Shaver (twin) b. 18 July 1901; Florence Shaver (twin) b. 18 July 1901; William Martin Shaver b. 5 Feb 1904; Carl Clifton Shaver b. 14 July 1907; Hassel May Shaver b. 12 March 1910; Curtis Lee b. 18 Sept. 1915; and Arla Woodrow Shaver b. 1 Sept 1918. A. B. Shaver was one of Randolph County's most prominent Church of Christ Preachers, and was the first preacher to marry a couple in the new courthouse.
